Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is rapidly approaching. And Mary Cosby is on the interview circuit teasing new alliances and group dynamics. The season trailer suggested so many fractures within the group that the gang can barely make it out for a cast getaway.
But one of the few really touching friendships the season prior grew between Mary and Angie Katsanevas. And they are still going strong as per the preview. However, the fashionistas long-standing friendship with Meredith Marks could cause conflict because Meredith and Angie have had their issues in the past. What’s going on within the RHOSLC group right now?

Mary explained the friend group dynamic during a recent interview on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live show. Lauren Smith asked the RHOSLC favorite if “being friends with Meredith and Angie is an either or situation” or if she “sees a world in which in the future you might be able to be friends with both?”
Mary confirmed that she is “friends with both right now” despite Angie and Meredith being “completely opposite.” However, that doesn’t mean that the mother-of-one isn’t doing a balancing act between the two.
“Like they’re just different people,” Mary explained. “I can only take one friend at a time. So that’s probably why Angie is right now, my main, Meredith, she’s gonna have to take the back burner because I can’t do two people. That’s just too much. I got my own problems. I can’t have her problems, Angie’s problems and mine, no, we are, no, I’m good.”
RHOSLC fans got to see Mary and Angie’s friendship blossom when the latter provided comfort and compassion in the wake of Mary’s son, Robert Cosby Jr.’s substance abuse battle. And Mary acknowledged that her connection with Angie took precedence recently.
“So, you know, I think that kind of hurt Meredith, that I kind of put her on the back burner, but I didn’t, it wasn’t intentionally, it was just like when I have a friend, I love them and I wanna be there for them and I hope that they, if they need me, I’m there. And if I need them, vice versa. Likewise. But I can’t do that with two people,” Mary concluded.
