Yolanda Hadid is no stranger to the trials of living with Lyme Disease. And unfortunately, she has had to see her daughter, Bella Hadid, and son, Anwar Hadid, struggling with the tick borne illness as well. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has made it a personal mission to find a cure, and make it affordable to all.
The RHOBH alum’s younger daughter was diagnosed with Lyme disease at the age of 16. Bella has learned to manage the symptoms and continue working as a highly sought after model. Unfortunately, a recent flare up of the chronic illness landed her in the hospital. And she has super mom Yolanda by her side.
Yolanda Hadid put out a message of support for daughter Bella amid her Lyme Disease struggle
Yolanda posted a very moving message to her daughter in the midst of her hospital stay. She wrote via Instagram, “You are relentless and courageous. No child is supposed to suffer in their body with an incurable chronic disease. I admire your bravery and your willingness to keep fighting for health despite the failing protocols and countless setbacks you have faced.”
The RHOBH alum continued, “there simply aren’t words big enough for the darkness, the pain, and the unknown hell you’ve lived through since your diagnosis in 2013. You didn’t really live, you learned how to exist inside the jail of your own paralyzed brain.”
Yolanda herself struggled with symptoms as far back as her days on RHOBH. At the time, she was seeking medical answers while defending herself from those questioning her illness. Indeed, she has often spoken about the somewhat unnoticeable symptoms of the chronic disease.
“I am so proud of the fighter that you are. You are not alone, I promise to have your back every step of the way, no matter how long this takes,” she continued in her statement to Bella. “You have gotten through another month of treatment and I know God is good, miracles do happen everyday. I pray for your speedy recovery my love.”
The Dutch born model manifested “better days together.” And she praised Bella as a “survivor” and “bad*ss warrior.”
