Love him or hate him, it is pretty interesting that The Apprentice star Donald Trump went from being a reality TV star to a presidential candidate. It got me thinking about celebrities that I enjoy watching on reality TV who I would love to see run for president.
To make it clear, I don’t necessarily think any of these people should actually be president, just that it definitely would have been entertaining if we had them in the mix at some point during the nomination and election processes. Also, this list is meant to be a complete joke, so chill out with the political commentary and just have fun with the “what if” political possibilities.
MTV’s ridiculous competition show is back for an umpteenth season! A new Real World Challenge, aptly titled “The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons,” will feature twenty-eight of the original reality show’s has-beens stars competing for a $250,000 cash prize in Bodrum, Turkey. The competition always boasts ridiculous and heart-pounding challenges, but people tend to tune in more for the house drama, hook-ups, and fighting.
This season premieres on September 19th , and it will pit newbie housemates against players who try to make a living off of their Real World fame and winning these crazy competitions. For example, veteran Wes Bergmann can’t wait to face-off against his former Austin roommates Lacey Buehler and the now divorced Danny Jamieson and Melinda Stolp.
In the preview trailer, Wes reveals, “These people really are as dumb as they look.” Ahh, yes, Wes. Yes, they are. San Diego’s Ashley Kelsey agrees, stating, “I feel like I’m living in an insane asylum!”

Get ready for more Reality TV dramz with MTV’s The Challenge: Rivals starring former MTV Real World & Road Rules castmembers.
With over $300,000 on the line there is bound to be conflict galore as the teams fight tooth and nail for prize money and glory. MTV takes 14 teams of men and women to the jungles of Costa Rica for a series of intense challenges requiring endurance, stamina, bravery, and cunning!
Expect lots of fighting, lots of backstabbing and tantrums, relationships forming and falling apart, and old rivalries reigniting! In fact, the drama is over the top right out of the gate as the first episode features contestants flying over a waterfall! Yikes. The series also features two castmembers from the very recent Real World Las Vegas, Adam Royer and Leroy ‘Roylee’ Garrett. Oddly enough, Adam is the only cast member not pictured above. Perhaps he got kicked off early for another drunken tantrum.
One thing is for sure if these enemies don’t put down the haterade, learn to put the past behind them, and work together – they definitely won’t be bringing home the dough! For a trailer of the upcoming series, see below! The Challenge: Rivals premieres tonight on MTV at 10pm ET/PT. The season trailer and photos of the 14 teams below!

TJ Lavin, host of MTV Challenges and a Pro BMX dirt bike rider, is in critical condition following a dirt bike crash on Thursday night.
According to TMZ, TJ, 33, is currently in a medically induced coma after losing control of his bike and crashing during a jump at the Dew Tour BMX event in Las Vegas.
The accident occured as TJ hit a dirt ramp, lost control, and slammed down onto the ground. Friends and crew workers reportedly rushed to his side immediately as he didn’t appear to be moving.
TMZ adds that TJ is also experiencing brain swelling while listed in critical condition. A rep for MTV had the following to say: “Our thoughts are with TJ. He is an important part of MTV’s extended family and we’re all praying for him.”
TJ is the current host of MTV’s latest challenge – Cutthroat, which airs Wednesday nights on the network. Our thoughts and prayers are with TJ and his family.
Tonight’s episode of MTV’s The Ruins ended with a fight, a breakdown, and ultimately Tonya having to leave the show.
The episode began with the two douchebags known as Evan and Kenny being outright awful to a drunk Tonya. Once they get bored with Tonya, they decided to move on to Katie for whatever reason. Evan, Kenny and Johnny have become extremely annoying, mean and evil on these challenges. Quite frankly, I’m tired of seeing them on TV. Not sure why MTV keeps bringing them back every year.
The challenges have become rather boring and predictable. The same people come back every year, bully everyone, and win year after year. Here’s to hoping these three will not be back on the next challenge.
So we get back to Tonya who admits she has a drinking problem, as well as other real life problems which includes a recent divorce. It’s obvious to see she’s a broken person who needs help, and not constant abuse/berating from the 3 douchebags. Tonya once again gets drunk, and decides to take her anger out on Veronica. She ends up hitting Veronica and going home. Evan decides to play hero and comfort Tonya, perhaps to make himself look better on TV.
Wes ends up being the voice of reason, and calls them out. After all, they did play a big role in Tonya’s breakdown on the show. For some reason, Derrick tries to shut Wes down for speaking the truth. Clearly, no one is willing to stand up to the bullies, with the exception of Wes. The episode ended with Sarah defeating Katie, and Darrell defeating Danny.
Overall, with the exception of tonight’s episode, this season has been a bit of a bore to me. It seems like a rerun of previous seasons. The same douchebags, the same bullies, and the same victims. And quite frankly, I can’t stand to watch the Kenny/Evan/Johnny douche posse anymore. MTV needs a new formula.
