Isn’t it crazy how many of the Vanderpump Rules couples are either married or engaged? Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are hitched. Last summer, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright tied the knot, and their nuptials will play out on this season of Pump Rules. I am exhausted from all the showers/bachelorettes/ and other parties these couples have before their weddings.
In October, Stassi Schroeder will marry Beau Clark in Italy. And Lala Kent is slated to wed Randall Emmett in April. Randall even made his first appearance on the reality show, proving that he does exist. In a shocking turn of events, their wedding will not be filmed for Vanderpump Rules. I thought it was mandatory for all weddings to be filmed. Just saying.
Vanderpump Rules fans and West Hollywood residents know that Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd own a bar called Tom Tom, which was named in honor of Vanderpump Rules cast members Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz. The two Toms also own a small percentage of the bar.
Aside from Tom Tom, Schwartz and Sandoval recently announced their plans to open up another establishment, a “dive bar” in California. In December, Sandoval and his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix, released their first book together, Fancy AF Cocktails, a book full of drink recipes (that you can purchase by clicking here) along with some personal stories thrown in. Recently, the reality star shared another business venture he hopes to take on.
So many Vanderpump Rules couples have come and gone (RIP Jax Taylor and Laura-Leigh) but Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix seem to be the exception to the rule. Ever since Tom’s explosive breakup with Kristen Doute and subsequent hook-up-turned-relationship with Ariana, the two have been a united front of inseparable couples. It wasn’t easy either. Kristen was long suspicious of Tom and Ariana’s closeness behind the bar and had been accusing Ariana of messing around with Tom for some time. Ariana denied it over and over, only for Tom to finally admit that they kissed in a Las Vegas pool. But by that point, it didn’t really matter – Tom and Kristen were over and Tom was ready to move on to Ariana.
Ariana quickly moved in and the two have been solid as a rock, despite a few issues with Ariana’s insecurities that led to a dry spell in their sex life. They also butt heads over Ariana’s desire to write a book, which they ultimately wrote together. But when it came to Tom’s dreams and ambitions, Ariana was his biggest supporter, championing his work in opening and running TomTom with best pal, Tom Schwartz. If only Katie Maloney was as supportive of her partner. Tom and Ariana went on to buy a house and settle into domestic life.
Star of Vanderpump Rules and avoider of all things dramatic, Jax Taylor, had a moment. Viewers are currently enjoying Jax and Brittany Cartwright’s journey to
their first divorce marital bliss. On the last episode, the main topic of conversation was the controversial social media posts Brittany and Jax’s chosen wedding officiant had written. Lisa Vanderpump was horrified and made it her duty to “inform” the happy couple their pastor was not exactly accepting of a homosexual lifestyle. And what would Pump Rules be without every other cast member talking about it as well?
While most disagree with the pastor’s negative statements towards the gay community, Brittany and Jax took a lot of heat for not replacing him sooner. Tom Sandoval was particularly vocal, as he has long been a supporter of LGBTQ rights. Recently, the general manager of Tom Tom and Sandoval’s buddy Max Boyens found himself in the hot seat for sketchy sentiments as well. Yet Tom’s reaction to Max’s past indiscretions were written off as “youthful mistakes”. Jax took to Twitter to share his frustrations, and he did not hold back.
Social justice warrior and star of Vanderpump Rules, Tom Sandoval, is that guy who sticks up for the underdog. When he isn’t shaving his forehead or straightening his hair, you might find him saving loose-lipped James Kennedy from a throat punch. You could almost say in the realm of reality television, Tom is one of the good guys.
Most of the veteran cast are adulting now, including Tom. Along with partners Tom Schwartz and Lisa Vanderpump, the cocktail journey to enlightenment known as TomTom has brought some fresh blood to the Pump Rules
petri dish waters. Some of these new cast members might be testing the limits of what is deemed acceptable in the age of social media. Or life in general. Newcomer, Max Boyens, recently came under fire for some uncovered ignorant and racist comments posted to Twitter. Now Tom 1 is being called out for his lack of response to Max’s youthful stupidity and he explains exactly what went down.
There is no Vanderpump Rules without the Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz friendship. Since the very beginning, these two have always just worked. When every other cast member on VPR was fighting, Tom and Tom were the friendship stability we all aspired to have and quite frankly, needed to ground the show. They reminded us that the cast actually are friends. At least that’s how I’ve always looked it at.
Now this season might not be the best display of Sandoval and Schwartz’s relationship but what friends don’t have some squabbles? Also, I blame Katie Maloney for that and well, everything else so there’s that. Don’t try and change my mind, ok?
Love her or hate her, Scheana Marie always works for her life on Vanderpump Rules. Have you seen her intro shot? She is serving that tray! Over the years Scheana has really bared all about her relationships, unlike some people we know. As we venture into Season 8 (!) of Pump Rules it’s become blatantly clear that Scheana is the favorite cast member for producers to troll. Sure, maybe it’s just too easy. But if you listen to Scheana’s podcast, she’s been open about how producers only show her issues with men. They could instead actually show her working on music, her podcast, or her show in Vegas. They’ve also never talked about the fact that Scheana bought a house in Palm Springs. Instead we’re only seeing certain cast members “grow up” (eye-roll), and buy homes, like Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney, and Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix.
What we’re seeing about Scheana this season is not good. First, she’s still “working” at SUR. Second, she’s being framed as though she is jealous and insecure over new girl, Dayna Kathan. Third, she’s apparently obsessed with bigots Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni. On last weeks’ episode, we caught a glimpse of some remorse for treating Dayna badly. But perhaps there’s more to the story here.
