During Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, viewers saw ex-Bubbas Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney both romance the same woman, Tori Keeth. Some thought that it was some sort of weird competition between the divorced couple.
Then Schwartz ended his “situationship” with Jo Wenberg. It was sad because he led her on. But Schwartz rebounded by dating Sophia Skoro. His new lady friend is 18 years his junior. And Katie has some thoughts on the matter.
Katie isn’t “ageist”
Katie was a guest on the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast, where she waxed poetic on her ex’s new love. She admitted that she doesn’t “know too much” about the couple.
“I do know that she’s young. And I’m not an ageist type person. I think if there’s a connection there, then that’s what’s most important,” Katie explained. “I mean, I think time will tell whether or not you’re a match for somebody. And sometimes age does become a factor.”
Tori was 25 years old, so she was younger than both Schwartz and Katie. As for that romance? Katie stated that she was unaware that Schwartz and Tori “had a thing.” She thought that Schwartz was involved with Jo.
“I didn’t intend for it to turn into, like, this competition. I didn’t know really like where they stood with all of it. And I wasn’t going to start asking questions,” the VPR star remarked. “Because that would feel like now I’m turning it into that. So I just was trying to pretend like I didn’t know.”
Katie and Tori have kept in touch after Season 11 of Pump Rules wrapped. “Every now and then, we’ll send a text. Or Instagram or something like that, but we haven’t like hung out,” Katie said. “I mean, it was very casual.”
