Bethenny, 41, made the shocking announcement today on her website. “I have exciting news for you guys! The queen of too much information is coming to DAYTIME! It is going to be an exciting journey and I can’t wait for you to join me,” wrote Bethenny.
She continued, “Thanks for being so loyal and supportive, without you, this wouldn’t be happening. See you all this summer on Fox!”
But before you get too excited, it seems Bethenny’s show will only be coming to a select number of FOX stations. According to a press release, “Select Fox Television Stations — including WNYW New York and KTTV Los Angeles — will run the show in a six-week test.”
So did the earlier reports get it wrong? Well, not exactly. See Warner Bros. did indeed pass on Bethenny’s show, which led to the FOX network picking it up for a test run this summer. Both Bethenny and Ellen DeGeneres will serve as executive producers on the show.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be working with Telepictures, Ellen DeGeneres and Fox in doing what I believe is the next best step in my life and my career,” said Bethenny in today’s statement. “My passion is connecting to, inspiring and being inspired by my fans. I’m ready for the challenge of this new adventure, and I’m going to tackle it like I do everything else in my life. The queen of too much information is coming to daytime.”
This news would also explain why Bethenny will reportedly end her Bravo reality show — which is set to debut February 20 — after its upcoming season.
