Kai Patterson Shares The New Gorga Mansion Inspection Report

Melissa and Joe Gorga are at odds with their tenant Kai Patterson over bounced rent checks and have been pursuing legal action to have him evicted from their Montville mansion.

Last week Kai shared his side, including extensive photos and statements about the condition of the home, which he was in the process of purchasing from the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars.  He also explained the issues with the bounced payments.  Since then, Patterson went ahead and ordered a full inspection of the home and shared the results with us.  We’re attaching the pdf below if you’d like to take a look at all 38 pages!  The inspection is a thorough list of things in need of attention and repair and further investigation.

Despite a long list of issues, Kai still wants to buy the mansion.  He chatted up Radar Online about trying to work things out with the Gorgas and moving forward with the purchase!

Patterson says, “What I am proposing is I go ahead and pay them and have it credited to the purchase price and that will put this matter to bed.  I do want to make sure that he [Joe Gorga] is aware of what we found.  I am willing to pay to fix it. I just didn’t understand the scope if the problems until I moved in.”

He added, “Rather than make disparaging remarks or provide anything that would damage the settlement relationship, it’s just easier for me to go ahead and do what’s necessary to settle and make the repairs and have the repairs be credited towards my purchase deposit.  If we’re able to settle the matter, I think it works out for everybody — the house gets sold, it gets fixed up and the additional things that need to be repaired they’ll get done. And get the place to a point where I am buying what I thought I was buying.”

Kai disagrees with what most of us have said about the mansion being a money pit and waste of his time and money,  “I don’t think it’s a money pit. The issue is you pay to live at a certain level and when you don’t, well, what am I paying for? I would rather settle and have this go away and we all operate on a positive level.”

TELL US – IS IT ODD THAT HE’D WANT TO CONTINUE WITH THE PURCHASE DESPITE THE HUGE LIST OF PROBLEMS? DO YOU THINK THERE’S MORE TO THE STORY?
