Jax Taylor was a man on a mission – a mission to never get married. Until he met Brittany Cartwright, that is! Now Jax is changing his mind. A little opportunity called a ‘spin-off’ wouldn’t have anything to do with that, would it?
“Before Brittany I was not about marriage. I didn’t believe in marriage,” claims the perpetually cheating Vanderpump Rules star. Now Jax is not only faithful to Brittany (which is apparently more than she can say about herself!), he’s considering settling down for-ev-er.
Didn’t Jax profess his desire to marry Stassi Schroeder more than once? Apparently not, because no amount of love could convince Jax that marriage was for him.

“As time progresses, I’m starting to open my mind about it a little bit more because I do love her and that’s something she wants,” shares Jax.
“I think patience is the key,” teases Jax. “We’ll see.”

So what is it that makes Brittany so special? “She’s just so sweet, so kind. She has a lot of patience,” explains Jax. “Everybody loves her. There’s not one person that can say a bad thing about her. I feel like they would trade me in for her any day.”
However Jax isn’t ready to propose just yet, for a couple reasons. Firstly he never wants to get divorced. “I just hate it,” Jax declares. “I’ve done a lot of things in my life, it’s just kind of the one box I don’t want to check off that I’ve done.”
Secondly, working together at SUR equals too much togetherness. “I love my girlfriend very much, but you know when you spend that much time you start to get some wear and tear,” Jax complains. “I’ve been at SUR for five or six years now. I feel like the bar is mine.”
“We try to make that work,” he told Bravo. “It’s tough because we hang out together. We have the same friends. It’s just really tough.”
Jax is only even considering marrying Brittany for a TV show – c’mon!
Well, we’ll get to see more of Jax and Brittany ‘making it work’ on tonight’s episode of Vanderpump Rules. After being punished by Katie, Scheana decides to be mean to Lala. Meanwhile James unveils his new girlfriend, but the spell is quickly broken when a hostess claims James cheated! James’ relationship dramas put his job at jeopardy when he winds up fighting with Jax.
Katie and Tom are also having trouble in paradise when she learns he’s in therapy. Her reaction has Tom seriously reconsidering the idea of getting married.
