Even though Kathy Wakile isn’t a Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member anymore, she is still trying to parlay her reality TV fame into opening an Italian restaurant in New Jersey. If that sounds familiar, it’s because she’s not the only New Jersey Housewife who has done this recently. With that said, it will be interesting to see how Kathy’s PizzaLove restaurant will do in comparison to the one that her two cousins Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga opened with Melissa Gorga.
Kathy’s restaurant is not open at a full-scale yet, but PizzaLove is having its soft opening to test out the menu and bring in some customers for the future. I wonder if it will serve up those cannolis that Kathy started serving while she was still on the show.
Kathy posted about the soft opening on Instagram. Kathy wrote, “The Wait is Over! Who’s Hungry? PizzaLove’s kitchen is heating up & testing our menu! Stop in and have a bite during our soft opening!” She also mentioned that customers could get orders for dine in, take out, or delivery from the Wyckoff, New Jersey restaurant.
Recently Kathy shared photos of her trip to Italy to do some research for the restaurant.
Teresa, Joe, and Melissa’s Italian restaurant opened up back in May and it seems to be going strong at this point. Not only that, but it definitely serves as a story line in the upcoming eighth season of the show, so it has a dual purpose there. There’s no official word on when PizzaLove will officially be open for business, but I’m sure Kathy will make sure to share that news on social media whenever the time is right.
