The order was entered this week and a breakdown reveals that Apollo’s largest amounts will go to JP Morgan Chase Bank (828,000), Campus USA Credit Union (277,000), and UP2Drive BMW Bank (100,000).
“Based on the consent motion of the parties and the court’s review of the record in this matter, the court directs defendant Apollo E. Nida to pay restitution to the Clerk of Court I the total amount of $1,948.214.85. This amount is due and payable immediately. Restitution is payable jointly and severally with the restitution order to be entered in United States v. Gayla O’Neal St. Julien, 1:13-CR-00403-CAP.”
Apollopled guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Bank Fraud – all other charges were dismissed. Apollo was sentenced to 96 months in prison, but he may get out early if he attends a drug rehabilitation program during his stint in the big house.
According to court docs filed last week, Apollo will be on supervision for five years after he’s released. The terms of his supervision are pretty standard, with community service hours to be served, no hanging out with other felons, etc. Apollo also can’t open any new credit cards or lines of credit without approval and more.
Also worth noting is that Apollo will pay restitution. The amount will be decided at a later date, but the court waives the cost of his incarceration and no fine has to be paid.
I was almost as interested in learning Apollo Nida‘s sentence as I was in hearing Kenya Moore‘s reaction. I was expecting something priceless, with props, and tons of shade! Maybe a new song – Gone With The Wind – In Prison Stripes?
However, Kenya, much to her credit, kept her response subdued and classy, tweeting: “You can’t kick someone while they’re down even if they’re trying to trip you. Offer them a hand instead. #KillThemWithKindness.” Wait – isn’t that a Phaedra Parks-ism? #Kidding
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is scheduled to receive his sentence after pleading guilty to several counts of financial fraud – and apparently that’s not the only bad news! A property Apollo purchased in Atlanta sold in a foreclosure auction.
If you’re going Huh? – you’re not alone! It seems like Apollo owned a mystery property – once which we did not live in with Phaedra Parks and their two sons.
As Apollo Nida's sentencing date draws near – as in TOMORROW! – he is not holding back.
Apparently the soon-to-be-former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has the opposite strategy of Teresa Giudice, who has been keeping a low (and mum) profile to prepare for her sentencing. Apollo, on the other hand, has been giving countless interviews discussing his situation and focusing on drama.
But perhaps since Apollo is facing up to 30 years in prison he just has nothing to lose. “I’m cool, just trying to keep everything in stride. I’m just waiting to get an update from my attorney."
The Real Housewives of Atlanta'sPeter Thomas was dropping quite a few secrets earlier this week from the red carpet of the Debra Lee PRE dinner, when he spoke to Madame Noire. During his red carpet interview he talked about a RHOA spin-off, the latest on his costar ApolloNida and his brand new Bar One.
Peter Thomas has made no secret of his dreams of having a RHOA spin-off following the guys from Atlanta — Real House Husbands of Atlanta. Although Bravo — or any other network for that matter — has made no announcement, Peter seems to confirm that the show is a go during his interview.
Could be wishful thinking on his part, but a spin-off may be just what the Dr. ordered if rumors that his wife Cynthia Bailey has been axed. But is that the spin-off he is talking about? Because there have been some other spin-off rumors…
