I really hate it when I have to confront political or social quagmires in a reality show – like when last night’s Vanderpump Rules address the oh-so-prescient ‘me too’ movement (albeit without actually saying the words). Ironically, given the (well-deserved) criticism she took for her own attitude and statements about other women who came forward, it was Stassi Schroeder raising alarm and complaining about people always defending men.
The man in question is Ariana Madix‘s brother Jeremy. Jeremy asks Billie Lee out on a date, which she’s excited about, but when she shares the good news with Stassi and Kristen Doute their four-way flashers immediately go on. Kristen warns Billie to keep the date “in public” and Stassi says Jeremy is “creepy.” Stassi recounts that at Katie Maloney‘s wedding Jeremy was hitting on her – and everyone else – in a way that was frankly uncomfortable and camera footage reveals him grabbing Stassi in a bear hug while promising to leave her alone. And it was creepy! And uncomfortable.
There are few things better than a Real Housewives crossover. It’s always interesting to have more than one Real Housewife in the same room, but it’s even more exciting to have cast members from different shows in one place. These moments make for the best Instagram posts.
Now their costars Scheana Marieand Ariana Madixare weighing in on Jax’s potential as a father and of course Scheana is discussing (but not actually refuting) the exaggerations comments she has made about now-ex-boyfriend Rob Valletta.
On last night’s Vanderpump Rules, the Toms demonstrated that age is just a number and even when you’re 35, you can still pretend to be 21 with no responsibilities. I guess when you have stunted bartender jobolescence, growing up is hard to do! Even if you have “buishischeness deschisions” to make!
SUR is back in action with a facelift, because Lisa Vanderpump turns raging fires into restaurant redesign, and everything winds up looking a little fresher and sparklier. The new chandelier at SUR has the added benefit of making everyone look younger. Tom and Jax look positively like their first season selves. Too bad all Hollywood ‘facelifts’ don’t turn out so well! This is all a prequel to Tom Tom, which the Toms will get a larger taste of during their ‘work trip’ to Vegas.
Lisa will show Tom 1 and Tom 2 “a day in the life of the Vanderpump regime.” Which is more than just design elements, but showing them what running an actual business looks like. A business which has nothing to do with pretend statement necklace collection, or ‘online beauty blogs’ that get updated once every 3 months. Or at least that’s her plan…
At this point, all of the Vanderpump Rules viewers are well-aware that Lala Kent is done being friends with James Kennedy– whether he likes it or not- for now, anyway. She is done with him for hating on her man Randall Emmett and she insists that there is no way for James to get back in her good graces.
But what about James‘ girlfriend Raquel Leviss? I assume it would be awkward for Lala to be friends with Raquel if she wants nothing to do with James, but this show is always pushing conventional boundaries when it comes to relationships, so you never know.
As cringe-worthy as it is watching Scheana Mariefawn all over Rob Valletta on Vanderpump Rulesknowing that they aren’t dating anymore, it really does make the show. Scheana’s constant bragging has blessed us all with some premium entertainment. I will never get over her revelation that she timed Rob hanging up a TV and that it only took him seven minutes. She even mentioned that their first daughter would be named Madison Marie Parks-Valletta.
For all I know, Scheana wasn’t actually talking about Rob 100% of the time and instead she was just bragging about him 95% of the time, or (hopefully) significantly less than that. With that said, I figured she would use post-filming interviews and social media to clarify her comments and try to seem less Rob-sessed, but that is not the case. Now Scheana admits that she had Rob on her mind on the same day that she married Mike Shay. Just twist that knife in further, Scheana.
Just like the reality stars who have come before her (and many who will follow suit after her), Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie is now a podcast host. That’s pretty much the norm at this point. It’s almost as if you aren’t even a reality TV star if you don’t have your own podcast.
With that said, I don’t see why anyone would be up in arms about Scheana joining the podcast game. Everyone else is doing it, so she might as well. Nevertheless, some haters went in on Scheana for “copying” Stassi Schroeder by hosting her own show.
Season 6 of Vanderpump Rules is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Monday has become my favorite day of the week. I hate to say this, but the cast’s problems get worse and worse and my Mondays just get better and better. Ultimately I want the best for them all and I view them all as friends in my head, but I have to admit that their drama always provides me with premium entertainment.
