Lisa Vanderpump

This season of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills had everyone wondering: “Who’s The Most Manipulative Of Them All?” And you may ask yourself, is it really Lisa Vanderpump? And you may ask yourself, what about some of the others?

After an entire season speculating about how manipulative Lisa could possibly be, we decided to examine other drastic moments of manipulation littering the history of Reality TV.

Below is Reality Tea’s list of some of our favorite examples of manipulation on reality TV!

Dorinda Medley RHONY

Ramona Singer may be The Apologizer, but Dorinda Medley is the Defender.  The Real Housewives of New York star took to her blog after this week’s episode to stick up for John, and Jules. And she had a few choice words for some of her co-stars, though she doesn’t call them out by name. Get your popcorn and Pinot ready because it’s a long one.

Dorinda starts off, “I won’t propose a toast this week, I’ll propose an idea: Let’s all try to be better versions of ourselves — for once.  The show so far revolves around two things: Jules and John. Thank God for me, right?! What did they ever do without Dorinda? Oh that’s right…lie, deflect, attack, belittle, accuse… I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say the others weren’t either, but there’s something about having privilege and opportunity that turns a lady into a vixen, or a vixen into a viper.”

Last season on Real Housewives of New York, pretty much no one believed in Sonja Morgan or gave her the time of day except for Bethenny Frankel. Bethenny is arguably the busiest one in the bunch, but she still managed to make it to some of Sonja’s business meetings and attempt to serve as her mentor. She encouraged Sonja to be realistic while still being kind to her.

It looks like that’s all out the window. Even though Bethenny and Sonja were not in the same room at all during the most recent episode of RHONY, Sonja threw her name around a lot. She kept talking about how she wanted Bethenny to go to her birthday party/business launch and how she wanted Bethenny to be proud of her burgeoning Prosecco business. Well, it turns out that Bethenny is not at all supportive of Sonja’s latest attempt at entrepreneurship.

Ramona Singer confronts Luann

The ladies of Real Housewives Of New York are lucky where psychics are concerned. They generally get the nice sort who pass along good vibes and communications with loving husbands from the beyond. Unlike oh, say, Allison DuBois or that psychic popstar friend of Tamra’s who predicted Brooks was faking cancer! Anyway, last night Carole Radziwill hired a medium, who found her self mediating between Ramona Singer and Dorinda Medley‘s World War John.

“They needed that,” the woman remarked calmly as Ramona and Dorinda held each other and cried after their blow-up. This woman needs to be making more appearances on Bravo.

However, we begin with psycho facialists. Sonja Morgan is getting human skin cells spread on her face, since placenta is too expensive to buy on the black market! Sonja needs to hook Yolanda up with Satoko!

Jules-Wainstein

I was absolutely loving Jules Wainstein during her first few episodes of Real Housewives of New York. She gorgeous, funny, and vulnerable. But then again, no one is perfect, especially on a reality TV show. And we all know that the second a person slips up and says something out of turn, that is something that will definitely end up on the show.

Needless to say, last week’s episode of RHONY was very awkward to watch. When Jules was discussing how rude Carole Radziwill and Bethenny Frankel were in her Hamptons home,  I got vicariously embarrassed for the woman. I adore Jules, but I just knew that she was going to receive a lot of backlash for an offhand comment that she made the second that I heard it. I’m sure you know what I’m referring to and the only good news here is that Jules knows it too. She feels horrible about it and is owning up to her words.

Kim Richards

As much as I love watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I couldn’t help feeling like this last RHOBH season was its worst. It was definitely lacking and way too focused on one story line (Yolanda Foster and those Munchausen accusations). It all would have been a million times better if Kim Richards was a full-time cast member.

I completely understand that Kim had to take care of herself and focus on her sobriety and other personal matters, but she did take part in a reality show on Lifetime – Mother/Daughter Experiment – which makes me think that reality TV is not out of the question in a more general sense. With that said, there are plenty of reasons why RHOBH needs Kim back on the show.

In this week’s edition of reality star sightings – we have the Little Women: LA cast attending RuPaul’s DragCon over the weekend.  And interestingly, it looks like Christy McGinty and Terra Jole aren’t sworn enemies any longer. The two were seen chatting it up and not a single drink glass was thrown! Also attending the event: former co-star Brittney “Freakabritt” Guzman and current cast member Tonya Banks.

Bethenny Frankel signed autographs for fans at the Kentucky Derby Day at Empire Casino in Yonkers, NY.

Rachel Zoe, David Foster and more attend the Annual Goldie’s Love In For Kids event in L.A.

Ramona and Dorinda

Dorinda Medley began this season of The Real Housewives of New York in the hot seat, so she was relieved to be more of a bit part character last week. Calling her RHONY castmates “killer sharks,” Dorinda jokes that “the moment they stop moving, stop preying, stop stinging, they die.” So, who are they zeroed in on now? Newbie Jules Wainstein, of course!

Dorinda is relieved, but wary. “This week, it’s a relief to see there’s been a cosmic shift away from ME. I’m not in the crosshairs, but like I said last week, that means Jules is in the hot seat, and this one has been set to ROAST.” She adds, “So by now, you’ve seen that Jules is on the spit, getting turned very slowly. Sonja [Morgan’s] on the back burner, just at a simmer, with Luann de Lesseps on the counter, getting primped and prepped for her day in the sun. This is one kitchen I’m glad to be out of at this point.”
