It is very easy to hate on Kelly Dodd. After all, she’s the new girl on Real Housewives of Orange County so fans have had the least amount of time to invest in her. Oh and Kelly has been at the center of all the drama this season and now Kelly is coming for Tamra Judge. Oh shit.
I know that Kelly has been a lot to watch, but I think we should all be grateful for her presence. Otherwise, this would be another season of all the ladies hating on Vicki Gunvalson for her shady relationship with Brooks Ayers. So at the very least, we need to thank Kelly for detracting from that annoyingness.
I am SO over talking about Shannon Beador’scontroversial ’70’s party on Real Housewives of Orange County. It is this season’s story line that seems like it will never die. Don’t get me wrong, it was a wild episode and I was thoroughly entertained, but I’m tired of them all rehashing different versions of the same story over and over again.
Obviously, the main event was Shannon vs. Kelly Dodd, but Vicki Gunvalson also got into it with Shannon‘s husband David Beador. And it all weirdly ended with Vicki leaving a voicemail for Brooks Ayers in the back of a limo. It was such a hot mess and now Vicki is sharing her side of the story – yet again.
Shannon insists she doesn’t know why Kelly doesn’t like her, adding, “I really was nice to her at that boat party. I had tons of conversations with she and her husband so I don’t know.”
Amy asks Shannon if she thinks Vicki Gunvalson got in Kelly‘s ear. “I don’t know,” she says. “It is possible. I don’t know what their agenda is. I didn’t really spend that much time with them [at that point in the season].” As for where Kelly and Shannon stand now, she teases, “It’s a road that takes you up hills and down hills. I will tell you that.”
Once again, this is another Real Housewives of Orange County season that isn’t look so good for Vicki Gunvalson. Obviously no one is over that whole cancer scam from last year and Shannon Beador is the one really leading the charge. Personally, I think the cast members and the fans would be able to forgive Vicki if she just took responsibility for her actions and stopped changing her story to play up the victim persona.
Everyone has been blinded by love and I don’t think Vicki is an awful person, but her inconsistencies are way too much for Shannon and the rest of the cast. So, when the ladies say something that’s objectively offensive about Vicki, you know the OG of the OC will be ready to pounce so she can successfully defend herself (for once). It’s definitely a good way to get people to stop talking about Brooks Ayers– at least for a minute.
During the last season of Real Housewives of Orange County, I did not know how to react when Meghan Edmonds started in on the “Brooks Ayers doesn’t have cancer” accusations. It was her first season on the show and I didn’t “know” her well enough yet to feel like she had credibility. And aside from that, I could not help wondering who in their right mind would actually fake cancer. Well, we all know how that whole thing turned out so I’m not going to rehash that part.
Nevertheless, the current RHOCseason is all about rehashing last year with everyone hating on Vicki Gunvalson for playing up the persona of a victim and for refusing to apologize for her part in all of the craziness. Even after the season has finished filming (minus the reunion), Meghan is still not over the Brooks drama and she is teasing a little bit about to expect in upcoming episodes.
I don’t understand anything that Vicki Gunvalson does on Real Housewives of Orange County. She is always crying to get sympathy from the viewers because no one in the cast wants to be friends with her, yet she refuses to apologize for anything that she does – ever.
No one is here for that, Vicki – especially Heather Dubrow. She has always been a no nonsense chick, but she is really laying down the law when it comes to how she will treat Vicki after all of the Brooks Ayers-related craziness. In the most recent episodeHeather declared that she is going to regard Vicki as an “acquaintance” instead of a friend from now on.
The Vicki Gunvalson denial tour rages on! In a revealing interview Vicki doesn’t hold back in discussing her complicated relationships with her cast mates, rebounding from Brooks Ayers, and why she’s begging everyone to move on. Oh, she also wants a spinoff with friend/enemy Tamra Judge. Huh?
This season ofReal Housewives Of Orange County has Vicki avoiding drama – or trying to – and focusing on rebuilding. “I’m filling my tank back up!” This means a lot of whooping it up while re-evaluating her friendships.
“If I see conflict I really, kinda, wanna run now, but I’m strong enough to know I’ve gotta defend myself,” Vicki shares. “You’re not gonna see me screaming or going berserk. Hopefully I’m a little bit more tame this year.”
