Can you sing the alphabet? You needn't go far…"A-B-C-D" Okay stop. You have reached the letter that encapsulates this entire blog post. D. As in D-List…if I'm being generous. VH1's Couples Therapy is awesome at bringing the most irrelevant and desperate reality couples together for one last ditch attempt at that fifteenth minute.
This season is no different. Producers have reached deep into their vault and resurrected some folks who are going to make for hilariously awful television. We've got some MTV clingers, a clock wearing rapper (I do love him), and a purveyor of topless ladies…just to name a few. It should be a very interesting mix, that's for sure!
Farrah Abraham's "desperate to be famous" publicity tour continues. Lucky us!
This week, Farrah dissed fellow Teen Mom star Catelynn Lowell, shared her current thoughts on James Deen (you do not want to miss this!), and revealed that she's thisclose to a new reality TV show (you will most likely want to miss that!).
A few Teen Mom stars tweeted their thoughts afterFarrah Superstar was released, and Catelynn wrote, "All I have to say is, she sounds like a dying horse!!" Now, Farrahresponded, "Catelynn has a weight issue, but I don't say harsh things about her to hurt her self-esteem."
Huh? Calling out a young woman's issues with weight is, what? Meant to encourage?
Hollywood Exes returns for a second season with its original cast, Nicole Murphy, ex-wife of Eddie Murphy, Jessica Conseco, ex-wife of Jose Canseco, Mayte Garcia, ex-wife of Prince, Sheree Fletcher, ex-wife of Will Smith, and Drea Kelly, ex-wife of R. Kelly, as well as one new cast member, Shamicka Lawrence, ex-wife of Martin Lawrence.
Our favorite reality TV stars can’t get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to Twitter to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite photos from the Twitterverse this week! Enjoy!
Oh my good gracious. Y'all know how I feel about the ladies of MTV's Teen Mom franchise, but I'll let you in on a little secret. I've always held out hope for a slightly normal life for the first cycle's Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. The couple chose adoption for their daughter on their episode of 16 & Pregnant, and they have faced multiple relationship and socio-economic hurdles with grace and maturity.
Both Catelynn and Tyler came from backgrounds where the cards were already stacked against them, but the pair seems determined to beat the odds. Despite family drama (his jailbird dad married her addict mom–and that relationship was nothing short of abusive), the two graduated high school and started working towards college degrees. Now, they are moving their issues to MTV's sister network. Le sigh.

Oh, it seems like at least one couple from Teen Mom is really trying to make it work! I'll admit, most of the girls from both Teen Mom franchises make really stupid decisions and do totally dumb things–even when they have an amazing support system. None of them seem to be in healthy relationships except for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. Surprisingly, this pair had the most stacked against them…her mom was an addict, his dad was in and and out of jail, and they ended up becoming step-siblings when her mom and his dad entered into a tumultuous marriage. It's enough to mess up any teen couple. Or anyone, for that matter!
However, Catelynn and Tyler are different. They've been together since the seventh grade, and, realizing that their daughter could be raised in a much more stable environment, they decided to choose adoption. They are the only couple in the history of 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom to do so. While they've definitely struggled in their relationship (Catelynn needs a lot of reassurance), they seem to be committed to one another and are now engaged. Even if Catelynn and Tyler don't make it (I really hope they do), they are more mature than all of the other Teen Moms (1 and 2!) put together. That may not be saying much, but I still think they still think they are head and shoulders above their counterparts.
I'll admit, I laughed a bit when Tylerdecided to move to New Orleans to focus on his acting career–mainly because he went to New Orleans and not New York or Los Angeles…or even Wilmington, North Carolina! When Tyler decided to fulfill his dreams, he and Catelynn vowed to make their relationship work long distance. Now, the couple is reunited for the holidays.
