Melissa Gorga

Following the volatile season premiere of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, which included a brawl started by her brother, Teresa Giudice is now speaking out once again.

She graces the latest cover of In Touch Weekly magazine (out on stands Friday) under the heading “Fame Destroyed My Family.” Things reached a boiling point for Teresa during the Christening ceremony of her nephew as her younger brother Joe Gorga called her “garbage” in addition to a nasty words of exchange with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga.

Teresa, 39, tells In Touch that she won’t “stoop down to Melissa’s level” and refuses to use the word “jealous” to describe Joe & Melissa, though Teresa’s husband Joe Guidice has no problem doing just that. “Melissa is the most jealous person in the world, and she’s a liar,” says Joe.

Teresa also reveals that the situation with her brother is causing marital problems, with Joe telling In Touch, “I told her a bunch of times not to mention the brother in front of me—I don’t want to hear it and when I hear the name I get pissed off…There have been a couple of times when she has said the name, and I almost did leave.” Joe adds that he once ignored Teresa for an entire week after a heated spat.

And when it comes to Joe’s mounting legal problems, he blames the Bravo hit show stating that being more recognizable has made him and Teresa targets. “It seems like nobody ever went to jail for the stupid thing I went to jail for,” said Joe. That stupid thing is a DUI he received in January of last year. He served 10 days in jail in September. As for his most recent arrest in March, Teresa says she will continue to “stand by” her man, while Joe’s confident he will be exonerated.

The most shocking part of the story is when Teresa reveals that her eldest daughter Gia has been getting bullied at school since her aunt and uncle (Melissa and Joe) joined the show. “The other day at school, a kid went up to my daughter and said, ‘Your family is embarrassing.’ She told me she was crying,” revealed Teresa. Wowzers. Thank goodness Gia’s classmates missed the episodes with the table flipping, shoving of Andy Cohen or the humiliating and very public bankruptcy that made headlines last year. But all snark aside, it’s always sad to see the kids suffer for the consequences of the adults around them. Here’s to hoping things get better for little Gia.

And lastly, Teresa reveals that the turmoil has been especially hard for her sick dad who suffers from emphysema. “It’s breaking my heart,” says Teresa. “My brother knows how sick our dad is. I don’t know why he would do what he did.” She’s referring to the actions of her brother Joe when he began yelling at their dad during the Christening drama.

Oddly enough, Teresa makes no mention of a desire to quit the show in the article. You can read more of Teresa’s interview as well as see photos from her past in the current issue of In Touch. A bigger image of the cover is below.

In other Teresa news, move over Rachael Ray! As Teresa reveals she wants her own cooking show. While talking to the Miami Herald last week, Teresa, who has written two cookbooks, one of which made the NY Times best seller list, revealed her desire to get her own show.

It seems while the RHONJ has caused a strain for Teresa, it could also help achieve her latest goal. “When I first got into this, I didn’t do it for the money. I did it for fun,” said Teresa. “Now hopefully I’ll get my own cooking show. Maybe it’ll take me there.’’

Well if anything Teresa’s show would be entertaining, at least the part where she tries to pronounce her “ingredientces!”

TELL US – DO YOU FEEL BAD FOR TERESA? WOULD YOU WATCH HER COOKING SHOW?

On last night’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey they celebrated Halloween with some serious drama and some serious fashion. The annual Posche Trashion show is back with Teresa, Jacqueline, and Melissa as models, Caroline puts her foot down on family drama, Kathy tries an unsuccessful Gorga mediation. Oh and The Kims re-emerge!

The show started on a happy note with Teresa and her Made For TV family, Caroline and Jacqueline getting together with their kids to carve Jack-o-lanterns with Danielle’s face on them. Scary! Naturally they begin talking about the Christening Day Masacre, and all the kids are pushed aside somewhere so the ladies can dish. While Teresa is telling the story of how push came to shove came to insanity, Caroline is standing there, arms crossed, giving the hairy eyeball and reminding Teresa that it’s her family, and family’s first – so she better fix things, because after all, the Posche Fashion Show is happening. Frankly, I’m shocked anyone would invite Teresa after last years “incidents,” but hey, The Kims love them some dramz! Tersea puts Caroline in her place by declaring she doesn’t need any advice from mommy dearest, because she is the matriarch of her family and knows just how to manipulate handle them.

It’s been a week since the highly dramatic premiere of the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 3, and the topic of conversation is still the now infamous Christening brawl.

Last week, Melissa Gorga and hubby Joe Gorga gave their side of the story to Life & Style magazine, and now Teresa Giudice is doing the same in the current issue of PEOPLE magazine. In fact, Teresa tweeted days ago that she almost got the cover but was instead bumped in favor of Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I’m in PEOPLE mag this week! An actual true story from a good magazine! (I was almost the cover but #ArnoldIsAPig),” she tweeted.

The PEOPLE interview is supposed to be about Teresa fighting back against everything out there about her in the press. She talks about the cheating rumors alleging her husband Joe Giudice is unfaithful, she addresses the bankruptcy issues, Joe’s most recent arrest, and of course discusses her brother and sister-in-law. Below are excerpts from the interview -

Teresa On Bankruptcy - Teresa touched on the bankruptcy drama as she and Joe filed back in 2009, with $11 million in debt. “It was stressful, but I wasn’t overly emotional about it,” says Teresa. “To me, I didn’t overspend. That was a lifestyle we always lived… I hated it when people called me the Broke Housewife,” she adds. The PEOPLE story also added that the bankruptcy is yet to be finalized due to ongoing litigation. As we reported back in November, the Giudices are scheduled to stand trial in July for bankruptcy fraud. The bankruptcy trustee is looking to get the bankruptcy dismissed alleging they concealed assets.

On Joe’s Arrest & Cheating Allegations – When it comes to Joe’s most recent arrest in March for driving on a suspended license that was obtained illegally, Teresa doesn’t discuss Joe’s alleged actions instead stating she never heard from her brother during this period. “Even if I don’t need his support, I still want to know I have it,” she says. And as for those pesky rumors that Joe is cheating, Teresa denies it and stands by her man. “If he had someone, I’d like to meet her. I’d punch her in her face. He knows I would,” states Teresa. Joe also denies the rumors. “How am I going to cheat?” Joe asks, adding that anytime he poses with a fan,”they say I’m with a new blonde or a Teresa lookalike.”

Cookie-gate - As we reported last year, Melissa brought cookies to Teresa’s home on Christmas in 2009 and Teresa ended up throwing the cookies in the trash while also telling Melissa to get her cookies that she likes next time. Surprisingly, both Teresa and Melissa admit this really did happen in the PEOPLE article. “I was trying to be nice,” Melissa explains. “But then she told me in front of everyone, ‘Don’t ever bring those cookies again… I was like, I give up.” Teresa’s response? “Nobody ate them. I told her straight to her face, ‘The next time you come, bring pignoli cookies.’” Teresa also attempts to defend her actions by adding that a previous snide remark in a housewarming card from Melissa a few weeks earlier had set her off.

On The Brawl – Teresa says, “It was so awful, I blacked out. I don’t remember half of it.” She adds, “This is not how we were raised. I get choked up thinking about it.” Teresa’s husband Joe adds, “Joey embarrassed himself, his father and everybody there. They acted like Jersey Shore, beating each other up. It wasn’t us.” Melissa attempts to defend her husband by stating “there was a lot of emotion that led to that point.”

And today, Teresa adds that she does want to fix things with her family. “I don’t know how things go so bad between us, but I want to fix it,” she says. You can read more of Teresa’s interview in the current issue of PEOPLE magazine.

Moving on to tonight’s all new episode as the #1 sh*t stirrer Kim Granatell makes a return! On the new episode, the ladies deal with the aftermath of the brawl as the Brownstone hosts a fashion show. The catwalk sets the stage for catcalls and catfights, particularly when Kathy voices off and Caroline stands her ground.

A preview clip is below. And on Watch What Happens Live tonight, the guests are Teresa and Jacqueline Laurita.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON TERESA’S INTERVIEW & TONIGHT’S NEW EPISODE?

On Monday night, the Real Housewives of New Jersey, minus Teresa Giudice, gathered together at the Brownstone to celebrate the show’s season premiere!

Housewives Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga, and Kathy Wakile were all in attendance along with their families. As for Teresa, she held a separate premiere/‘Fabulicious’ book launch party for herself at the Tribecca Night Club in Fort Lee, NJ. And yes that is Simon van Kempen pictured with the ladies as he and his wife Alex also attended the party.

The Montville Patch was on hand to cover the event, both snapping the housewives and interviewing them. The general consensus amongst the housewives was that watching the premiere episode, with the now infamous brawl, was an emotional experience. Melissa stated that if you didn’t cry by the end of the episode you “had a heart of stone.”

Caroline admitted that the episode was hard to watch but added you have to “take the ride with us.” Ticket prices for the premiere party were between $75 and $200 with the Patch reporting that “proceeds from the premiere party benefited several charities, including the Wounded Warrior Project, To Write Love on Her Arms and Stop Child Trafficking Now.” More photos from the event below!

Meanwhile it seems we the viewers do love us some trashtastic television! Why? Well because the Monday night premiere broke all kinds of records for the Bravo network. With over 2.87 million total viewers tuning in, the NJ Housewives delivered the highest rated season premiere in the network’s history! The episode also helped Bravo earn its best Monday night ever.

*Also wanted to note that we will no longer be doing the weekly reality stars photo posts. We will start doing more photo posts through out the week, instead of posting it all on Saturdays. Thanks!

While Monday night’s season premiere of the Real Housewives of New Jersey brought us one of the most dramatic fights in reality TV history, the drama continues off screen for Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga.

In fact the two ladies grace the latest cover of Life & Style magazine under the heading “It’s War!” In the issue, Melissa and her husband Joe Gorga discuss the nasty brawl that took place at their son’s christening, and what led to it as they attempt to explain what viewers did not see.

“I was so upset,” Melissa says. “Teresa’s never given us any respect. She was being fake, just acting nice for the cameras.” Joe adds that Teresa did not want to be at the christening and that she only showed up because she was able to finalize her season 3 contract with Bravo right before the event.

“My sister didn’t even want to be there,” Joe tells Life & Style. “She’d just signed her Housewives contract that morning or the day before because she was mad that we were on the show.” Melissa also attempts to shed some light on what led to the rift. “I think when Joe and I started making a lot of money is when she really lost it,” Melissa says. “She was used to being the biggest and the best, and then when I came in, she felt threatened. She doesn’t want anyone to one up her. Teresa’s fine with you as long as you’re one step below.”

Joe adds that the most hurtful part about everything is when Teresa tried to turn their parents against him and his wife. “Teresa would tell our parents ‘Melissa this,’ ‘Melissa that’ or ‘Joey didn’t do this,’ and my parents have never been the same,” Joe reveals. “Her husband talks about me to them all the time, too.”

Despite all the drama, the Gorgas reveal they are still hopeful all parties can come back together. “Things couldn’t get any worse, so I’m hoping it only gets better post-show. Maybe we can become a family again,” Melissa states. Joe adds,” I have wonderful kids, a beautiful house, the whole package– but I don’t have my family. I’m crying out for my family.”

Also a lot of viewers have wondered why the Gorgas invited Teresa despite the bad blood, and in her first Bravo blog, Melissa answers that question. Below is an excerpt -

I think it is extremely obvious when she comes to the table giving us a kiss and saying congratulations for the second time that it was not the norm. You can read it all over all three of our faces. We really were not speaking to Teresa at the time of the christening, but of course I invited her to come, because we always invite each other to all of the children’s parties. I am always invited to her kids’ parties as well, and I will never miss one.

Melissa also promises in her blog that as the season moves along, we will get more of the “back-story.”

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON JOE & MELISSA’S INTERVIEW? DOES IT CHANGE YOUR VIEW ON THE BRAWL & THEIR ACTIONS? DO YOU BELIEVE TERESA WAS FAKING IT FOR THE CAMERAS?

Welcome to the third season of Real Housewives of New Jersey! This season – whew – it looks like we’re in for a wild one! While the Real Housewives of New York may have needed to be ‘re-edited’ for more drama – New Jersey probably needed to be re-edited for less!

Teresa Giudice is ba-ack: angrier, crazier, bronzer, bossier, and apparently less broke because “mama is bringin’ home the bacon!” Caroline Manzo is worried about her adult children leaving the nest (wasn’t that the same issue she had last season?), Jacqueline Laurita is still dealing with good old Ashley, and we are introduced to Teresa’s maybe crazier relatives new housewives Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile.

The 90 minute premiere episode was chock full of crazy as it opens with a Christening party for new housewife Melissa’s son, Giuseppe. It has all the attributes of a classic NJ Housewife Christening party: giant ice sculptures, an open bar, smarmy guidos with open shirts and gold chains, an oil painting of the baby, a lavish sit-down dinner, a knock down, drag out fight… Oh! Wait a second – maybe most Christenings don’t involve full-on fistfights. Well, Melissa had to one-up Teresa’s party from last year! See, Melissa is Teresa’s sister-in-law and is married to Teresa’s brother who is also named Joe, but is not Juicy. Teresa and Melissa are “not exactly best friends,” in fact they are pretty much enemies. As it was well documented that Teresa threatened to quit the show if Melissa was included, but then she realized mama needs that paycheck!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 3

We’ve heard about all the drama and fights for months now, and finally we get to see it with our own eyes tonight as the 3rd season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres on Bravo at 9/8c!

On the super-sized 1 hour 30 minutes premiere, Bravo gets right into the thick of things with the widely reported brawl that took place during the christening of Teresa Giudice’s nephew.

When looking back at that very ugly incident, both Teresa and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga have different takes on it. “I was screaming at the cameras to get out of my son’s christening,” says Melissa to the NY Post “I didn’t sleep for three days. I was devastated.”

On the premiere episode, Melissa says of Teresa, “That bitch will never miss a party, especially if someone else is paying for it.”

Melissa, who was able to watch the premiere episode with her husband Joe Gorga in advance reveals, “My husband and I were both gasping for air.” She told Joe, “Now the whole world is going to think you’re crazy as she is. He said, ‘Unbelievable. I can’t believe I have to go work tomorrow.’”

As for Teresa, she told Ryan Seacrest last week on his radio show that she “blacked out” during the drama. “It has to do with my family and it’s sad and it breaks my heart.” Teresa recounts, “I blacked out…what happened on the show, I could’ve never imaged it in a million years…me and my brother, we were like best friends, up until he got married.”

Teresa adds, “[Joe Gorga] started it…it was something that came from left field.”

Meanwhile other newbie Kathy Wakile has sort of taken a backseat thanks to the Teresa/Melissa feud. Below are brief bios of both Kathy and Melissa-

Kathy – A first cousin of Teresa, Kathy resides in Wayne, New Jersey with her husband of more than 19 years, Rich, and their two children, Victoria, 17, and Joseph, 15. Kathy works hard to keep her family’s world in order and carefully monitors her children’s social lives. However she loves to party and have a good time. Kathy and her family definitely live life to the fullest.

Melissa – Melissa is a sassy Italian who is known for her witty, fun, and loving personality. After graduating from New Jersey City University with a B.A. degree in education and psychology, she is now a stay at home mom whose life is all about her family. Melissa and Joe have been married for almost seven years and met while both were away on spring break in Cancun. They live in an ornate mansion that her husband, a successful real estate developer, built and Melissa decorated. Melissa and Joe have three beautiful children, Antonia, five, Gino, three, and Joey 11 months.

A preview clip of tonight’s episode is below. In the Season 3 opener titled “In The Name of The Father,” Kathy and Melissa gear up for a family christening while Jacqueline’s lunch with her daughter leaves a sour taste. Meanwhile, Caroline’s surprise gathering with her sons turns emotional; and Teresa serves up a cookbook in a bid to bring financial stability to her family.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON MELISSA & TERESA’S COMMENTS? PLUS ON TONIGHT’S SEASON PREMIERE?

Surprise, surprise Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice isn’t getting along with fellow castmates – especially the ones she’s related to!

According to Life & Style, the always sweet and easy to get along with Mrs. Giudice has taken a turn for the worse and is terrorizing fellow NJ Housewives with her demanding, diva behavior. In fact, the theme for this season might as well be: Teresa Gone Wild!

She is even going so far to talk smack about former BFF Caroline Manzo by “criticizing her cooking and the fact that she does her grown sons’ laundry,” in the forward for her new cookbook Fabulicious!. The article also warns fans should expect further jabs from Teresa during her upcoming book tour: “Teresa plans to take the feud further, attacking Caroline while she’s not there to defend herself.” Uh-oh! I can’t wait to see Caroline call Teresa a “clown” next!

An insider reports that Caroline and Jacqueline Laurita are beyond annoyed with Ms. Diva New Jersey: “they don’t know how much more they can take. This isn’t the woman Teresa used to be.” Imagine, reality TV fame changing someone… So, what’s the reason for Teresa’s increasingly demanding behavior?

Since Teresa’s husband Jr. Mafia Joe is having all sorts of money trouble, including filing for bankruptcy to the tune of $11 million and being arrested for multiple driving infractions, it is now Teresa who is “bringing home the bacon” and acting as the main breadwinner for the family of six (and hopefully no more on the way!) with her two cookbook. Teresa’s harder than usual to handle behavior is the result of needing Bravo’s paycheck more than ever so she decided to replace the ousted Danielle Staub as the show’s villainess and wants to become “the most valuable star on Housewives.” A source reveals to Life & Style: “She says Jacqueline’s boring and Caroline’s old. She thinks they can’t do the show without her.” Well – she may have a point – who else is crazy enough to flip a table during dinner?

Unfortunately, Teresa’s not just having issues with money, her husband, and her friends; she is also having problems with her new castmates – who she happens to be related to! Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa Gorga (who is married to Teresa’s brother Joe) and her cousin Kathy Wakile, are the newest Jersey Housewives, and it has been well documented that Teresa did not want her sister-in-law on the show. In fact, she even threatened to quit if she was brought on, but then Teresa remembered she needs the money, so nevermind that!

Teresa, herself, tells E! Online a different story, claiming Melissa and Kathy never even told her about their participation in the show: “I didn’t find out until I had heard from Bravo,” she said. “I got the phone call from Bravo and I was like blown away. I was like, ‘Really?’ And then that’s what made me a little upset because I was like, ‘Wow, it would have been nice for my brother to call me or my cousin to call me. It’s just weird to me. It really is. Just blows my mind.”

The E! Online article explains Teresa and Joe were once best friends, but the relationship apparently fell part after he married Melissa. Teresa further explains she used to like her sister-in-law until she started getting more attention than Teresa: “I wanted him to get married so bad. That was his third fiancée, so we just wanted him to get married. We always said we wanted our kids to grow up together. And I really wanted her to become the sister I never had.” She even asked Melissa to be the godmother for her daughter, Gabriella.

Teresa claims the strained relationship she has with her family “breaks my heart,” and “that’s why you’re going to see a totally different side of me this season. It’s really sad. I cry a lot on the show and it’s very hard for me.” A different side of Teresa? A side that’s not volatile, argumentative, and violent? Well, it must not be too different because: “in the premiere of season three, a full-on brawl actually breaks out during Melissa and Joe’s christening party for their son after they exchange nasty words with Teresa.” Yikes!

Well the good news is we can likely expect just as much drama without Danielle Staub! Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres May 16th at 10p EST on Bravo.

Will you be watching this season? Do you think Teresa’s behavior will have taken a turn for the worse?
