If you have suffered through just one episode of MTV’s Floribama Shore then you realize what an insult it is to every true Jersey Shore fan. The network couldn’t leave well enough alone. You don’t mess with a classic!
Apparently Mike “The Situation” Sorrentinowasn’t thinking ahead when he decided to run with “The Situation” as a nickname. Sure, he was referring to his abs, but going by “The Situation,” just sets him up for so many headlines and punchlines for any bit of trouble that comes his way.
Case in point: The Situation this time around involves some tax trouble and the Jersey Shore cast member is facing some prison time. That is quite the situation if you ask me.
The Jersey Shore cast is reuniting for a brand new reality show. Hopefully it’s better than that random thirty minute special where they drove around and got lunch which aired on E! early this year. This revival is Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their lives with us. And we would not have it any other way. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite snapshots and selfies from this week. Enjoy.
Kendra, who never met a reality TV show she did not like, and Hank are the only marriage couple in the cast. “We needed the help and we really needed to focus on what our real issues were and what we need to do to solve them,” saidKendra, on why she and Hankjoined that cast in the midst of Hank’s cheating scandal. “We went in fighting each other, we went out fighting the world. That is where we remain right now.” See the season 3 premiere party pictures below!
Unlike Mike, the guido (who should own stock in a hairspray company) has fared far better in a post reality show world. Pauly D makes a killing as a DJ, and it’s only fitting he reward himself with a small treat every now and then.
GTL? More like GTLol! Life may not be fair, but Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s skin is likely to be very fair given that fact he no longer has unlimited access to tanning beds! It’s a sad day for the former Jersey Shore star indeed.
In September of last year, Mike and his brother Marc were charged with tax fraud. Specifically, the troubled reality star was accused not only of failing to pay the state of New Jersey the full tax amount on $8.9 million in earnings, but also of filing fraudulent returns to make it look as if he had. In case you forgot (or totally missed it the first go-round…who could blame you?), Mike blamed his brother who he claimed managed his money and kept him in the dark about such matters.
2014 was a year for law breaking, court cases, tax issues, and bankruptcies from our favorite reality TV stars.
Below, we’ll update you on who owes what, whose divorce is a mess, who is suing, who is being sued, and who’s going to prison! In addition to adding several new cases to the rosters of law-dabbling reality stars, some stars continued to battle existing cases – such as Jacqueline Laurita‘s and Sonja Morgan‘s bankruptcies.
Meanwhile other stars finally resolved long-standing issues. Undoubtedly the biggest legal drama of the year was Teresa Giudice finally facing a judge and being sentenced to 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to 4 counts of fraud, which all began way back in 2009 when the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star filed for bankruptcy for an incredible $13 million dollars of debt!
