In case you missed it, on Wednesday, Jersey Shore star, Mike and his brother Marc, both surrendered to authorities on charges of tax fraud. The state of New Jersey claims that Mike did not pay his full tax bill on $8.9 million in earnings. In fact, prosecutors claim he intentionally filed fraudulent returns in order to make it appear he was square with the IRS.
His brother, Marc, was charged with conspiracy to commit tax fraud. Which c0uld have been a sign of the pleas to come, because Mike is claiming it is all his brother’s fault.
It has been a rough 2014 for Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino. His return to reality TV tanked — I mean, did anyone watch? He got arrested for brawling with this brother outside of his tanning salon. Yep, the same tanning salon where he later bounced paychecks.
And now the state that made him famous wants to throw him behind bars.
We've got a situation here. I blame people's awareness on how harmful UV rays are…and that's a positive. The only good summer color comes from a bottle that may or may not turn your ankles and palms orange. But isn't orange the way the kids from Jersey Shore taught us how to roll?
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and crew took take pride in having a skin tones that rival that of an Oompah Loompah, so it's no surprise that post-reality show fame, Sitch has attempted to capitalize on the GTL lifestyle that made him a household name. Unfortunately for the employees of his tanning salon, things haven't been so rosy.
The Sorrentinos will follow Mike, Linda (mother), Marc (middle brother), Melissa (sister) and Frank (older brother), showing their real lives…after reality. This is a whole new situation — pun intended — for Mike. On the Jersey Shore he was known for stirring the pot, partying for a living, crashing his head into a wall in Italy and eventually filming a season sober, after a stint in rehab. So will viewers appreciate or even like the new Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino? Famous for his bad behavior, TVGN is banking on the likability of his 'real' personality.
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to Twitter to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here's a roundup of some of our favorite photos from the Twitterverse this week! Enjoy!
As theJersey Shore's end draws near, one of its former cast members is making a last-ditch effort to remain relevant. Jersey quitter Angelina Pivarnick is desperately looking for a high profile attorney to help her sue MTV.
A source tells TMZ that Angelina is fuming over the way MTV edits her appearances on the show. She feels that they are making her look bad on purpose and that MTV humiliated her by rejecting her request to help with the Restore the Shore special.
Angelina reached out to Gloria Allred, attorney to the f-listers who normally leaps at the chance to rep famous clients and hold press conferences. (But doesn't seem to ever do much in court?) Gloria shot down Angelina's request for representation, saying Angelina's not famous enoughand she doesn't do charity work she's just too busy at the moment.
