Real Housewives of New York

Luann de Lesseps performs 'Girl Code' on WWHL

As the ladies of Real Housewives Of New York took off for a trip to Turks and Caicos, so too did the drama! The foremost expert in etiquette and chic-ness, Luann de Lesseps, can now add “Girl Code” enforcer to her list of manners specialties. With a new song on the matter, Luann tackles all the violations of her castmates and discusses the emotional tsunami that is Ramona Singer!

Spanning from NYC to the Caribbean – wherever there are RHONY, trouble is sure to follow, and deciphering it all is The Countess

Beginning with trouble at the Warwick Hotel, Luann knew it was too much to expect that her supposed friends would be supportive of her clothing venture, but chic c’est le vie! “You can have the best of everything and there’s still drama,” accepts Luann. “Ramona did admit she was a bit harsh on Kristen [Taekman] and that her timing wasn’t the best, so hopefully they’ll move forward and forget the whole thing.”

Ramona Singer apologizes

Reflecting back on her yellow bikini-clad, room-snatching ways during the first night of the Real Housewives of New York’s Turks and Caicos trip, Ramona Singer blogs about why she though Bethenny Frankel’s timing was off with Sonja Morganand how her new bond with Kristen Taekman was a nice surprise.

Ramona being Ramona, she sees her behavior a bit differently than the other ladies when it comes to choosing rooms on vacation. “I felt like a little kid looking for the room for Sonja and me to share. The ladies all take separate rooms, but ever since the Morocco trip, Sonja and I always room together,” claims Ramona. “It was quite humorous with all of us running around like squirrels looking for the nuts.”

Sonja Morgan is defensive

Real Housewives Of New York – when it’s too hot in the city, despite the arctic winter chill, escape to the islands of Turks and Caicos but bring the arctic chill with you! I truly did love this episode – it was old times RHONY – real friends, serious drama that wasn’t fake or fabricated, yet light-hearted frivolity and laughs.

I’ve come to love the friendship of Bethenny Frankel and Luann de LessepsI think they deserve their own bestie name: Bethann? Luannethy? I’ve also come to accept Kristen Taekman as being silent, but necessary – her facial expressions are the omnipotent narrator and her outfits are a pleasant diversion from such atrocities as macramé, lucite stripper heels, or neon yellow bikinis purchased from the MTV Spring Break store in 1993.

After tonight’s episode of Real Housewives of New York aired, Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps headed over to the clubhouse for a visit with Andy on Watch What Happens Live.  The ladies dished on everything from their co-stars to their relationship statuses and more.  AND The Countess debuted her new song “Girl Code,” which she sang with her daughter at the end of the show!  And Dorinda Medley showed up to cheer her on.

A viewer asks Sonja why she wouldn’t listen to what Bethenny has to say? “I know this group of girls really well and I heard them last season saying I wasn’t focused on my businesses and I was all over the place and now we see I have a collection, I do have a house of fashion, I have jewelry, I have swimwear, I have evening gowns, sportswear.  And then they were saying that I was going to lose my house and we see I’m still living in my house. So, you know what I feel about these comments?  Exactly the same way.  I have professionals who take care of me and they’re not professionals (her co-stars).  And just because Bethenny’s just coming back to the group and she’s hearing what the girls are saying after a weekend that went off the rails in Atlantic City, I think it’s a little premature.”

Not blogging much this season for the Real Housewives of New York, Ramona Singer is breaking her silence to reflect on her behavior with Kristen Taekman last week and why she finds it necessary to defend Bethenny Frankel

After discussing how much fun she had decorating cupcakes with the ladies, Ramona launches right in to what (in her humble opinion) makes Bethenny tick, and why Kristen’s questioning of Bethenny drove her to tears. “Bethenny is a very strong woman. The things she has been going through have been very hard on her emotionally. At times Bethenny cries at a drop of the hat due to all the stress she’s under. I know the feeling as finalizing my divorce has been taking a toll on me emotionally. This is the reason I haven’t written a blog in a while. I appreciate everyone’s continued support and understanding. It means so much to me,” explains Ramona.

It’s hot photo Friday! Above:  Sonja Morgan performed a caburlesque act (as Marilyn Monroe) for Watch What Happens Live producer Anthony Lella’s 30th birthday that was attended by Andy Cohen at SONO in Greenwich Village.

The 2015 amfAR Inspiration Gala was held in NYC and attended by Fredrik Eklund, Brad Goreski, Luann de Lesseps, NeNe Leakes, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan, Heidi Klum and Andy Cohen (who was honored at the event).

Also spotted: Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian stopping by the DASH store.  And NeNe Leakes out and about in NYC.  NeNe was in town to co-host Live with Kelly and Michael today and was spotted filming segments throughout the week (not so “Live”).  She revealed on the show this morning that she’s doing a 30 day cleanse that includes no alcohol, bread and more.

Heather Thomson at Bravo/NBC Cable Upfronts 2015

This week Heather Thomson didn’t have a lot to say, either on the Real Housewives of New York, or in her blog. Well, except for commenting on the storyline that she’s fiercely nurturing: How to Help or Not Help THE Bethenny Frankel, of course. Citing her codependent need to force everyone around her to accept her hugs and meatballs, Heather says it’s tough for her to sit back and do nothing where Bethenny’s many, many meltdowns are concerned.

“While I may have failed miserably, I’ve only ever tried to support Bethenny with her struggles/challenges,” begins Heather, “I think we all want to. And that’s why we planned this trip to Turks and Caicos during the week.” Really? The trip that Sonja Morgan (not the entire group) proposed was a masterminded plan to “help” poor, destitute Bethenny!? Okay, then.

I don’t know about you, but I’m loving the newest addition to the Real Housewives of New York this season! Dorinda Medley’s blogs are about as spot-on and hilarious as they come each week, so let’s dive in to her latest reflections on Bethenny Frankel’s jittery behavior, Sonja Morgan’s downward spiral, and Ramona Singer’s ability to clear a room of unwanted Kristen Taekmans in 3…2…1…

“This episode was all about trying to connect and being supportive of each other,” begins Dorinda, “I’M SURE YOU HAVE NOTICED, ahem…the way we communicate sometimes does not support this theory.” Excited that Bethenny coordinated an event for the group, albeit a cupcake event, Dorinda says, “it shows she really is making an effort with us—she likes us. It’s sort of a grownup playdate, with cake batter and frosting. It also proved to be an opportunity to bring out a competitive side from the girls.” With each woman taking her particular brand of neuroses out on the innocent cupcakes before her, Dorinda reflects how “Ramona was contemplative and methodical, Sonja was light-hearted but with flair, and Bethenny was all business (put frosting on cake, put in box, move onto next cake…). I was thinking about it…Which color? Which pattern? Does it make me look taller? (That’s really all I ask myself every morning.)”
