The Real Housewives of Dallas

LeeAnne-Locken-calls-Cary-Deuber-out-on-everything-she's-been-saying

The Real Housewives of Dallas chugs along into another over the top episode. The Mexico trip has ended kind of abruptly and we’re back in Dallas. This episode had all the ingredients of a classic real housewives disaster. They’re deep into the season, the cast trip is behind them and loyalties are changing and a flesh-eating bacteria has entered the picture! The ladies are all back to their Dallas lives. Cary Deuber and Mark Deuber catch up and unpack. Cary is very low energy, sitting with her arms folded; telling her husband that she only had a good time with Kameron Westcott and D’Andra Simmons. She goes on to say that Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman didn’t have her back and hasn’t talked to them since. Cary carefully tells her husband that LeeAnne Locken said he goes to the bars and has guys hit on him. Mark keeps his cool but says that he doesn’t need people to ruin them and walks out.

Brandi (and her misbehaving daughters) go to check out the venue for the upcoming white party. Brandi explains that she has an annual themed Christmas party. We’re treated to pictures of her husband in a bathing suit and one in a onesie. An “Event Designer” is all excited about some 6ft light up marquee sign that says “Play”. (??) In her interview, Brandi introduces us to Win, her white reindeer. We’re told they both don’t believe in boundaries, so watch out Kameron. Back in the event space, Stephanie joins and Brandi says she’s still upset with Cary. They’re both weirded out by fighting with their ex-friend. Stephanie gives Cary credit for being there for her when she had no one and just doesn’t want to get in the middle. Shouldn’t she mediate between the two before it gets ugly?

On this nusto episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas, we pick up right where we left off from last week. It’s high drama, booming theatrical music with drums as LeeAnne Locken watches it go down between Brandi Redmond and Cary Deuber. Cary maintains that Brandi made up the earlier comments about the red head’s doctor killing patients on the operating table. Cary feels LeeAnne turned everything around on her and no one’s talking about the threat she made on her life. It’s Cary’s turn in the hot seat. In her interview, LeeAnne says that the issue has always been and will always be – Cary. Back at the cave dinner, Cary is offended and can’t even look at Brandi. She leaves with Kameron Westcott who is too good to be seen in a cave feels bad for Cary. This is the beginning of Cary switching teams. Cut to: Drunken Mexican shenanigans. D’Andra Simmons takes a moment to apologize to her mom for dancing on top of the bar. Cut to: Cary putting another one of her face masks on her newest teammate, Kameron.

The next day the girls get up and are in recovery mode. LeeAnne suggests D’Andra scrub her back. Brandi and Stephanie Hollman laugh over the fun night they had with D’Andra, but not without commentary. “I like hanging out with old people,” Brandi said about D’Andra. (Let’s not forget the comment she said in Memphis about beating D’Andra to getting a facelift)

The Honest Tea heats up

This episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas had everything, a proposal, women (and men) behaving badly and of course, a charity event. Perhaps what’s most refreshing about Dallas is that all the women play ball. This episode could potentially go down as a defining moment in this show’s run. It channeled “The Dinner Party from Hell” on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and even rivaled some moments from some of The Real Housewives of New York City trips to remember. No one held back when they sat down for tea for what seemed like nine and one-half hours. Here we go…

The show opens with a charity event. It’s the Essential Energy Fall Reception and guess who’s the keynote speaker? LeeAnne Locken, naturally. D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott come to show their support. LeeAnne’s speech covers overcoming obstacles and the need to belong. Each week we learn a little more about D’Andra. This week, through her correlation to LeeAnne’s story, we hear that she too suffered from abandonment issues coming from a broken home. Mama Dee left her father and it destroyed his life. On a positive note, we’re treated to a fantastic vintage picture with Dee having the biggest hairdo in Texas.

Stephanie-Hollman-Cary-Deuber-and-Brandi-Redmond-go-catfishing

This episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas was all about family. From LeeAnne Locken looking to form a new one with boyfriend Rich, to Brandi Redmond reaching out to her grandmother, and Keatin running away from his step mom D’Andra Simmons. This show has proven it’s more than poop jokes and charity events. Cary Deuber, Stephanie Hollman and Brandi pack for the big Memphis trip. Brandi plans to visit her grandfather who suffered from a recent stroke.

D’Andra enters her ornate house and catches up with her husband, Jeremy. They discuss his photo journalism lectures and appear to have a good partnership. Jeremy breaks the news to his wife that his son Keatin feels he doesn’t fit in and wants to move out less than two months of living there. D’Andra is upset by this. She thought he’d pick up on their ambition and shake the feeling of entitlement. D’Andra wants to hold her step son to the year he committed to, she gets fired up. The two may be newlyweds (don’t forget LeeAnne stood at the Simmons wedding!) but he knows how she is, asking her to be levelheaded.

Since starting this blog back in 2009, I have blogged repeatedly about my dream housewives franchise, aka The Real Housewives of Dallas. And folks, sources are claiming to Reality Tea that it is finally happening! An insider sent us our first tip last week that Bravo has indeed cast a group of Texas women for the all new Dallas franchise! The source tells Reality Tea the show is currently in the early stages of production, adding that the cast "will start filming in August, and the show is supposed to air in early 2013." This news is somewhat of a surprise as just last June, Andy Cohen gave an interview in which he admitted Bravo had tried to get a Texas housewives franchise off the ground to no avail. "We’ve tried to mount a Texas (incarnation), but we never hit the nail on the head with casting," Andy told Variety. Well it seems they might have finally got the cast they wanted! The rumored cast list is below –

Lisa Troutt – Wife of Kenny Troutt; Owner of Excel Communication, Winner of the Kentucky Derby & Belmont.

Rhonda Aikman – Ex-Wife of Troy Aikman; Former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback.

Tiffany Mullen – Wife of Mike Mullen; CEO of Energy Equipment Resource Inc, Mullen went searching for a wife in 1998 on Oprah.

Deziree Ramirez – Fiance of Cory Harris; Former music producer, this couple is different from any of the other housewives, being the youngest, Ms. Ramirez is an heiress and is the granddaughter of the original founder of Cache/Lillie Rubin, she is also a Radio Personality, Business Woman, Author and Playboy Model & Actress.

Diane Gibby – Wife of Rod Rohrich; Dallas Top Plastic Surgeon. Diane is also a Plastic Surgeon and creator of Women's Center for Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery at Medical City.

Pictured above from left to right are Lisa, Rhonda, Diane, and Deziree. While Bravo is trying to keep the new series hush-hush, our insider confirms the cast finalized and signed their contracts two weeks ago. Our source assures us that the Dallas series "is surely going to be a wreck and different from all the other shows Bravo has had." C.A.N.N.O.T. W.A.I.T! The Real Housewives of Dallas would make the 8th housewives franchise for Bravo. TELL US – ARE YOU AS EXCITED ABOUT THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DALLAS AS I AM? WHAT TOOK BRAVO SO LONG? UPDATE – Andy Cohen is denying there is a Dallas franchise in the works via his Twitter page. We however had more than one source confirm this info to us, plus the series is still in the pre-production stage, meaning Bravo will likely do a test filming to make sure things are right before starting the actual filming in August. So we will wait and see! UPDATE #2 Tiffany Mullen and Lisa Trout are denying being a part of the show. Lisa just released a statement to us, stating that while she is "familiar" with the Bravo series, she will not be a part of the cast. Her full statement is below –

“I have been apprised of a report including me in the cast of the ‘Real Housewives of Dallas.’ While I am familiar with the Bravo series, this information is completely erroneous. I am in no way associated with ‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ or Andy Cohen. I wish the show – and the ladies in the cast – much success.”
