There’s never a dull moment in the lives of Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s stars! In the latest, NeNe Leakes is speaking out about the drama and confronting fans speculation that much of the drama may be scripted to make good TV. And newbie, possible non-Housewife, Marlo Hampton is sowing her wild oats after admitting to a split from boyfriend Charles Grant!
Appearing on The Talk, NeNe calls the outlandish confrontations and crazy behavior ” very real.” “We’re not scripted, and we say whatever we wanna say,” she explains, denying that the scenes are not “amped up for television.” NeNe does admit that the very real fighting gets “exhausting.” And although her job makes her so very tired with it’s constant negativity NeNe feels it’s also “very entertaining.”
Revealing that she does not consider her co-stars friends, NeNe explains they were “associates” prior to the show, “but now we’re not!” NeNe believes being in the spotlight has ruined several of her relationships. “You’re on this platform and people are judging and talking about you, and relationships break up because you’re on television… I don’t know what reality television does, but it breaks up relationships.”
When asked just how rich she is by the ladies on The Talk, NeNe claims her argument with castmate Sheree Whitfield was blown out of proportion and she does not feel pressure to ‘keep up with the Jones.’
“When I said that to Sheree, I felt like she was trying to pull me down. Like you don’t have this, and you don’t have that. You don’t have this…I was like, ‘No, No, No. I have it all honey,’ ” NeNe insists. “It wasn’t just about money… I have so many things. I am so blessed. I’m so rich in spirit; I’m rich in life; and in so many ways. And that was my point to her. Don’t try to pull me down, I am VERY rich.”
Finally, TamaraTattles reported the very exciting news that NeNe will be a guest star on Glee as swim coach Roz Washington! Wow! Yes, you heard it — NeNe will be making her acting debut in the musical comedy, but don’t worry she won’t be singing — or wearing a swimsuit! NeNe recently Tweeted: “Off 2 work again out here n LA” I’m guessing this is really going to burn some people’s biscuits!
In other RHOA news Marlo recently confirmed that the ‘lil engagement she was rumored to have with Charles Grant is off and has been for a while! Releasing a statement to TheYBF.com, Marlo declared that the couple is officially splitsville in the wake of Charles’ recent arrest for felony charges involving fraudulent checks. Yes, Charles was arrested a week ago for writing a bad check for an amount over $500. His mugshot is below. Isn’t he very rich?
“I truly regret that this has happened to him,” Marlo tells the blog. “While my relationship with Charles ended earlier this year, I hope he will put these challenging circumstances behind him and move forward.”
Now that she is officially single, Marlo celebrated in style by hosting a glamorous Christmas party at her home. Does anyone know what exactly Marlo does for a living? Does she pay her bills in the Kim Zolciak fashion?
None of the Housewives were present at the fete, but Lawrence and Derek J made an appearance! NeNe was invited, but apparently unable to attend because she Tweeted her apologies to her new friend!
