Teresa Giudice caused quite a stir on Sunday when a tweet popped up on her personal Twitter account. “Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support,” the tweet read. “I love, love, love you all. XO, T!”
Many wondered, is the Real Housewives of New Jersey star getting special privileges in prison? Or is a friend/family member tweeting on Teresa‘s behalf? Teresa’s lawyer, James Leonard Jr, came forward to clear up the confusion.

“Teresa absolutely did not send the tweet herself,” James told E! News. “She doesn’t have access to Twitter.”
James revealed that Gia Giduice sent the tweet but made a point to say that message came from Teresa. “She asked her daughter Gia to please post it,” he said. “She wanted to thank her fans for the hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of mail that she’s received since she’s been incarcerated. In particular, she received an outpouring of kind words and support on her birthday. She is truly grateful.”
“While Teresa‘s finishing her sentence,” added James, “she may continue to communicate with her fans this way.”
