Kim Zolciak certainly has had a rough couple of months, eh? Back in September, the Don’t Be Tardy star was hospitalized after having a mini-stroke, which forced her to withdraw from her stint on Dancing With The Stars. Then, Kim revealed that she had a heart condition, called FPO, or in layman’s terms, a hole in her heart that she likely had from birth that never closed, which is what caused the mini-stroke.
Luckily, Zolciak’s medical team caught it in time, and before it did any further damage to her. But that also meant that Zolciak would need surgery to correct it, which she recently underwent. And thankfully, Kim’s surgery went well, as you can probably tell from her photo (above), because Zolciak is right back to her selfie posting self – even right after surgery. Got to love her, right?

Kim Zolciak is very lucky. I mean at 37, no one expects to be diagnosed with a heart condition, and sometimes when we are, it is too late. But for Kim, having a mini-stroke during her stint on Dancing With The Stars turned out to be a blessing in disguise. After suffering from the stroke, her doctors were able to find that Zolciak was suffering from a hole in her heart, which required surgery.
Well, Zolciak had her surgery and it was a success. Earlier today, Zolciak shared the above photo on Instagram, with the caption: “My heart surgery was a success!! I can’t wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it’s over! Quite the whirlwind this last month has been…but such a blessing too. #MyFamilyHasBeenAmazing #TheFalconsHaveBeenSoSupportive #GodIsIncredible #Blessed #Grateful #ThankYouToMyDoctorsAndNurses #AmazingTeam.”
We are certainly thrilled that Kim’s surgery is over and all went well. And of course, we’re even more thrilled that she was able to share a post-op selfie, aren’t you? Now, maybe she’ll be well enough to compete on the finale of Dancing With The Stars.
