Real Housewives Of New York Recap: It Girl, Interrupted

Bethenny Frankel Teases “Very Specific” Reasons She Didn’t Talk To Ramona Singer All Summer

The Season 9 premiere episode of Real Housewives of New York was pretty boring. Still, I feel like we are in for a good season ahead and the second episode felt like a solid move toward an entertaining direction. From the debut of new cast member Tinsley Mortimer to Ramona Singer getting overly offended by Bethenny Frankel getting new dogs, the episode had some pretty funny moments.

From wearing that full-length leopard catsuit to dealing with Carole Radziwill’s political opinions, Bethenny addressed everything that went down during episode two.

Bethenny talked about the last episode in her Bravo blog. Bethenny predicted, “Now the show will start to heat up.” Let’s hope so.

Bethenny admitted, “Just how no one knew how to react to my cat suit, I didn’t know how to react to Ramona.”

She also revealed something (that I hope is) pretty juicy: “We didn’t speak all summer, and there are very specific reasons for that. Watch what happens.”

Carole seems like a nice person. Obviously, she’s smart, but she has zero story line on this show, so I expect for her to make the 2016 presidential election all about her. Bethenny remarked, “Carole and the election: We are friends. I love her and, like many people we love, we may not see eye to eye. Our communication styles are different.”

Bethenny explained, “I feel this election lacked a healthy open dialogue, and I think that day at my house lacked it as well. People are very heated and passionate. Ramona’s vote counts just the same as mine, yours or Carole’s.” Yes, but I’m not trying to watch Real Housewives of the 2016 Presidential Election. I hope that Carole has an actual story line this time. And please don’t confuse my sentiment with belittling the continued importance of the election. I just am tired of using Carole’s scenes as a good time to get up and grab a snack.

Has Tinsley not watched this show before? What was she expecting from Bethenny? This isn’t the first time, the second time, or even the third time that a new cast member didn’t take to Bethenny. And you know what, Bethenny really doesn’t give a f**k. She is an original cast member. She has a million products to plug. She has hilarious one-liners to deliver. She doesn’t need to be friends with any new woman on this show and even if she does end up getting along with Tinsley, we all know it’s going to take a while. That’s how Bethenny operates.

Bethenny wrote, “Welcome Tinsley. At the mad hatter party, I brought a bottle of Skinnygirl Peach Margarita, said hello, talked to my friends, wore color, and even shoved a sandwich in my mouth. Sorry if my greeting wasn’t up to Southern standards. I like Tinsley, and that is how I am when I meet someone new. I go with a handshake and a hello. I wasn’t quite ready for friendship bracelets or matching tattoos.”

Bethenny admitted, “I know. I know. I’m good at playing the bitch, so I’ll take an unwarranted hit here to keep the folks at home and at Bravo happy.” Keep it coming. I don’t want to be bored watching this season.
