Kenya Moore’s daughter Brooklyn Daly just turned one year old about a week ago and Kenya is already thinking about giving her a sibling. To make matters even more complicated, Kenya and her husband Marc Daly announced their separation in September.
However, she has been very open about her desire to get back together and work on their relationship. Is this really the best time to add a baby? That’s not my call to make, but Kenya recently opened up about the possibility of having a second child.
Kenya told Us Weekly, “I didn’t need to consider [surrogacy the first] time. But now that I’ve had complications after giving birth, it’s probably the only way I could carry, have a child again.” Kenya has a very rough birth. She lost a lot of blood, had to undergo an additional surgery that day, and she even thought she died at one point during the dramatic delivery. No one can blame the 48-year-old mom for looking into other options if she does decide to add to her family.
Kenya told the magazine that she wants to have another kid because her daughter “Brooklyn loves other kids.” Kenya explained, “I would like for her to have a playmate and someone who is like her confidant and close [friend], and I want that for her. I just don’t know [when].” And, again, there’s that whole separation thing. Neither Marc nor Kenya has actually filed for divorce, so it’s unclear what’s happening between them or how another baby would factor into their decisions. Maybe she will have baby number two on her own.

Kenya also said that she feels like she is “pushing a certain number” when it comes to her age. She wants to take the precautions to make sure that she is just “healthy, vibrant [and] available” for a second baby as she has been with little Brooklyn.
Kenya has a lot to figure out these days and I’m not even talking about her feuds with her Real Housewives Of Atlanta co-stars.
