Tanya Sam Explains Why She Doesn’t Want To Be Full-Time On Real Housewives Of Atlanta

There are a lot of women dying to be full-time cast members on a Real Housewives show. However, Tanya Sam is not one of them. She would rather be a Friend of the Housewives on Real Housewives of Atlanta.

That sounds crazy, but I actually don’t blame her, especially after hearing her explanation for feeling this way. The woman makes a lot of sense. Plus, it’s not as if she needs the money… unlike some super thirsty peach holders.

In a video on Instagram, Tanya responded to fan questions. She began, “At some point, do I want a peach? Not really. Here’s the thing, I love being a Friend of the show.”

She went on to explain, “It’s really the best of both worlds. I have autonomy. No one can tell me when you have to show up for what.  I can still travel [with the cast].” She has a point. She gets all the perks of being associated with Real Housewives of Atlanta, but with way less drawbacks than the full-time cast members experience.

Tanya continued, “I kind of like it. I think that doesn’t resonate with a lot of people because they’re like ‘a peach is the be-all and end all.’ I don’t know. I feel like I got to host trips, I got to travel, and when I have to work, I can go ‘oh sorry guys I can’t show up’ for eight hours of taping today because I have to work.”

Good for her. It’s probably way less stressful to have that outlook than to thirst for a contrived storyline, like some of the full-time cast members tend to do.
