It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through a season of Real Housewives Potomac. Actually, maybe it’s not so hard to believe given everything that has transpired, especially in the last few episodes.
The growing tension between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels over allegations of Monique cheating finally spilled over, resulting in a physical fight. But as the mid-season trailer is about to show us, that’s not the only epic fight going down.
Entertainment Tonight breaks it all down for us in a drama-filled look ahead. Newbie Wendy Osefo starts the teaser by saying that the fight was an “atomic bomb.” She also claimed it “lit fires in pockets of friendships.”
Wendy is referring to each housewife having to take sides between Candiace and Monique. And it’s not looking good for Monique. But Karen Huger attempts to stay neutral. She declares, “You want me to choose sides and I’m not going to do that.”

Ashley Darby seems to be the only one on Team Monique. She tells Monique, “Karen said, ‘I would press charges.'” Not sure where she got that info but maybe Karen decided to change her mind after talking to the rest of the woman.
Ashley, for her part, won’t be swayed and tells Candiace and Robyn Dixon that Monique asked her for a statement in her defense. As we have all heard, both women filed charges against one another following the altercation. Robyn takes issue, telling Ashley, “You wrote a statement as revenge towards Candiace. Candiace adds, “F–k you, Ashley.”

Tensions continue to rise, showcasing the women at a party with their partners. Ashley taunts Candiace and is heard yelling, “Monique has no self control, but what do you have?”
The husbands then get involved, with a showdown between Michael Darby and Chris Bassett. In the clip, Chris is seen being confronted by Michael and tells him, “Michael, you should get the f–k out of my face.” Michael doesn’t back off and says, “Shut the f–k up” and “listen.” Cameras screw and it sounds like a large scuffle ensues. You can hear both Candiace and Ashley yelling. I’m not exactly sure what goes down but I’m assuming it was broken up since we haven’t heard any further details.

The rest of the trailer features plenty of extra fighting and drama, including Ashley and Michael going to therapy. Issues arise between Gizelle Bryant and her ex-husband. Ray Huger tells Karen that fame and fortune has gone to her head. This furthers the narrative that their marriage is in trouble.
We also see Wendy and Karen getting into it over dinner. No surprise since Karen has disliked Wendy from the jump and hasn’t even pretended to get along with her. We also see a finally remorseful Monique crying to husband, Chris Samuels. No T’Challa in sight.

Finally, the women take a much needed cast trip to Portugal. Whew! That was a lot. As if the cast of RHOP hasn’t already given us enough in the first half of the season. Watching RHOP is truly the best way to combat the Sunday Scaries. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the season fully plays out.
