Meredith Marks Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Meredith Marks Defends Her Son Brooks Marks’ Presence On Real Housewives of Salt Lake City; Jen Shah Claps Back

Is it just that we’re all traumatized over the name “Brooks”? Bravo viewers and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans for the most part haven’t been too impressed with Meredith Marks’ son, Brooks Marks. And while he is a Housewife’s kid, he is not a literal child. In other words, he is a grown man who took time off from college to film the show with his mommy. Moreover, he’s had full blown story-lines to promote his “brand.” So while Meredith covet’s her relationship with her spawn, why would he be off-limits when it comes to on or off-screen commentary?

Meredith and Jen Shah have had plenty of on and off-screen drama. It seems endless at this point. But to be blunt, the first taste of discord between the two came from an early episode of RHOSLC wherein the House-child, Brooks talked shit on Jen. Those are the facts. Let it be known.

The Instagram account @mixingwithmani shared a recent comment-war that took place between Meredith, a viewer, and Jen. Of course, Meredith seems to have conveniently forgotten the order of events in her ongoing feud with Jen. She’s continuing in her misguided belief that her grown-man son should be off-limits despite blatantly inserting himself into the fold as a cast-member.

The viewer started the comment-chain saying, “Sorry but your kid is grown and he’s asking for the spotlight in case you didn’t notice. So hes going to get it. *shrug emoji*” After that, Meredith shot back and said, “Ok so I should treat all the other women’s children the same way since they are on the show too by that reasoning…got it!” Is she purposely acting confused? As if her convenient marriage resolution story-line wasn’t bad enough. Are we supposed to buy this foolery too?

The viewer saw right through Meredith and snapped back saying “Their kids ARE actually children tho.” Subsequently, Meredith pointlessly reminding everyone that “Jen has a 24 year old son.” She also asked “Should I go after him on social?” Um. For what? Is he a part of the show or in the mix at all? I’m lost.

The viewer replied with a firm, “Jen’s son doesn’t make negative comments about other cast members.” Okay. Now this is where Meredith reveals that she actually thinks we’re all stupid or have full blown amnesia. She replied, “Brooks did not say negative things about Jen, He repeated to his mother a small part of what happened that night that made him feel uncomfortable in his home. That was it. She has ripped him on social. He has never even responded.”

Is it what he said? Or how he said it? And is she implying that Jen purposely attacked or offended Brooks with what we all understood as a completely accidental flash? What are we missing!?! This feels like panty-gate 2.0. Similarly, I remember wanting to move on then, too.

This is where Jen stepped in and asked for some clarity. She commented, “SHOW THE RECEIPTS @meredithmarks and stop coming after me bcuz you’re looking for someone to blame. And DO NOT BRING MY CHILD INTO THIS. He’s never said one thing about you, he’s not a part of the show like Brooks is, he didn’t do a confessional. Stop bullying me and my children. I’m disengaging.”

This isn’t the first time adult House-children have gotten in the mix. The others haven’t been spared either. Is it only fair that we hold Brooks to the same standard? Or have times changed?
