Robyn Dixon Blames Pandemic For Lack Of Wedding Plans

Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon are the poster couple for non-marital commitment.  The Real Housewives of Potomac couple married in July 2005 and divorced in March 2012.  After cohabiting for awhile, they reunited as a couple.

They’ve made their situation a prime story line on the the show.  It’s been dragged out for many a season now.  They were toying with the idea of remarrying and/or having another child for at least three seasons.  It’s on rotation.  Juan and Robyn finally got engaged at the end of Season 5.  So now it’s back to teasing the idea of another baby.

Well, there’s no baby, but the Dixons had another labor of love during the pandemic.  They renovated and furnished a new house that they plan to move into by August.  So, between coronavirus and the new house, wedding plans have taken a back seat.

Robyn explained the further delay to Page Six She said, “the pandemic definitely shifted our focus to the house.  I was very respectful of the pandemic.  Like, I pretty much didn’t leave my house for, like, that first three months.”

“And so, wedding planning for me was just not really, like, an option,” Robyn continued, “and then once we started building the house, all of my focus and resources went in that direction. So unfortunately we do not have a date yet.”

Robyn isn’t feeling urgency to remarry Juan.  Certainly no one can question their commitment to each other and their two sons.  She said, “Juan and I have been married before, we have kids, so it’s not as urgent for us as it is for other people who want to, like, get their family life started.”

Dealing with CDC guidelines is kind of a drag.  Limited capacity, social distancing, and travel restriction rules are changing as the pandemic ebbs and flows.  Robyn didn’t want to, “deal with the uncertainty.”  Besides, Robyn seems to be considering a destination wedding and traveling during a pandemic is a whole other struggle.  Regarding locations, Robyn said, “I am open to all possibilities- as long as [it’s] beautiful and warm!”

Clearly, Robyn and Juan have many RHOP seasons of indecision left in them.
