Melissa Gorga Says Teresa Giudice Made Luis Ruelas Video Drama Worse By Not Wanting To Discuss It

The premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey jumped right in with just a taste of what we will be seeing this season. That is, Teresa Giudice defending her relationship with Luis “Louie” Ruelas. He comes with baggage, and a not so great reputation. But if Teresa is anything, she is loyal to a fault. And very in love. So haters be damned!

But Margaret Josephs, who admitted held Teresa’s feet to the fire about Louie this season, brought up the infamous video of Louie. You know, the one where he’s seemingly marooned on a desert island with a bunch of other men, pleading for his ex to forgive him. Bonkers to say the least. Naturally, Teresa wouldn’t take the bait and shut it down. She’s not going to talk about it, despite well, everyone else talking about it.

SIL Melissa Gorga thinks that’s a mistake. She recently spoke with Page Six about her thoughts on the matter. Said Melissa, “It was the whole Teresa trying to protect the situation and not discuss it that actually made it worse.” But according to Melissa, Louie will eventually address it himself. She revealed, “I was so happy [when he addressed it]. I’m like, ‘Thank you!’ Because I don’t want to talk about him. I really don’t. I don’t want to discuss his issues or whatever happened in his past and I was sick of my castmates talking about it.”

Melissa added, “Because if my sister-in-law’s happy, then I’m happy. I’m like, ‘Leave her in her love bubble, please! Let her be happy.’” Ugh yes, the whole “if she’s happy…” statement. Listen, I respect everyone not trying to judge. I really do. But friends are also meant to give you input on the things you might not see. That’s what good friends do.

The video clip itself (please google if you haven’t already – it’s so worth it), is in short, creepy. In the video, the group of men that identify as a “warrior camp” urge Louie to share what’s on his “heart” and not his “f**king brain.” Poetic! Louie pleads into the camera, “I’m coming home to see you to get engaged and bring our family together and finally get married and have a life together.” Nothing like a demand for marriage from “warrior camp” to keep a failing romance alive, ammirite?

Melissa went on, “Honestly, it was a little out there at first [with] all the men in the background. If you don’t know this sort of thing or what kind of camp he was at or whatever it was, you’re kind of like, ‘Whoa, what is this?’” She reasoned, “Listen, we all have had our moments with exes, right? We’ve all had times where we look like a complete fool over our exes. So, unfortunately he had a moment and everyone’s talking about it.” Ok, I agree with that. Who hasn’t embarrassed themselves over an ex? I have. But I was in my early 20s, not a full grown man. Seriously.

Despite attending warrior camp and humiliating himself, Melissa insist that Louie has proven that he’s a “great match” for Teresa. “No one has a bigger past than Teresa, let’s be real,” Melissa claimed. She then diplomatically concluded, “But the past is the past. We need to judge people off what we see now and I’m big on that. He’s going to be my brother-in-law. I want him to come in with open arms. I want him to prove to us who he is. I don’t want to read something that somebody’s putting on the internet and judge him by it. So I didn’t do that.”
