Whitney Rose Blames “Intoxication” For Not Understanding Meredith Marks Analogy About Her Father After Whitney Questioned Meredith’s Dad’s Memorial

Whew. Another episode for the ages coming out of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. This cast trip to Zion has been truly unhinged. And here I was thinking this whole season was going to be about Jen Shah and her now infamous arrest. Hardly! We have spent the last few episodes with literally every cast member at each other’s throats for one reason or another. But one of the main story lines that has emerged from this season is the strategic take down of Meredith Marks.

Meredith, as we all know, is no friend of Jen’s. Rumors swirled that Meredith tipped off the feds, resulting in Jen’s arrest. Rumors that Meredith has repeatedly denied. But that didn’t stop her castmates from concocting the theory that Meredith was absent on the day of Jen’s arrest because she actually caused it. Meredith maintained that she wasn’t present because she was at a memorial service for her deceased father. But the women refused to believe it. Did Meredith lie about the date? Was the memorial on a Monday or a Tuesday? Was she at the memorial like she claimed when Lisa Barlow called her on the day of the arrest?

All of these accusations came to a head in Zion, where the women badgered Meredith over and over again, demanding to know the details of her dad’s memorial. Enter Whitney Rose. Sigh. Yeah, Whitney-I-Have-No-Storyline-Rose. She recently hit Watch What Happens Live to discuss her confrontation with Meredith. Which ended with a confused Whitney not understand what an analogy is. Paging Teresa Giudice!

Host Andy Cohen asked Whitney, “When you went to Meredith’s house, did she finally put to rest the stuff about the father’s memorial for you?” She confirmed, “Yes, we finally got a date.” Which was none of her business. Andy continued, “How do you feel about the analogy she made regarding your dad earlier? Analogies usually don’t work on the Housewives.” He can say that again. Whitney agreed, “Yeah. Analogies don’t work very well.” She added, “I was, in the moment, very hurt, but I was also very intoxicated.”

For context, when Whitney continued to push Meredith on the specifics of the memorial service, Meredith asked her how she would feel if she asked Whitney about her dad. Whitney has a rocky relationship with her father, which was previously featured on the show. She revealed that they are no longer talking due to his alleged addiction issues.

Andy ended up letting it go with a simple, “Ok.” I can only imagine what he was thinking. Probably what we are all thinking – that the analogy was not the “low blow” that Whitney later claimed it was. Meredith was simply trying to explain how hurtful it would be for one to be questioned about such a sensitive topic.

I’m not sure if Whitney has “gotten it” yet. But regardless, she had no dog in this fight and should have kept out of it. Because even if it wasn’t an analogy, Whitney deserved a clap back for trying to be accuse Meredith of something so hurtful. I don’t care if you hate Meredith or not. Accusing someone of faking their deceased father’s memorial service is the only thing worthy of being called a “low blow.”
