Boy was I wrong about Diana Jenkins. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie initially seemed fascinating and engaging. She quickly turned out to be anything but. The uber rich housewife (she’s estimated to be worth $300 million) has made one enemy after another. I love a housewife who doesn’t give a f—, but girl, you have to make at least one ally or you’re toast. And after her latest stunt on social media, I don’t think she’s going to make it another season.
After Diana got into it with a Black content creator, castmate Garcelle Beauvais dubbed her “uneducated” and “nuts” on a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance. As reported by Page Six, Diana denied to clap back on Instagram in the cringiest of ways. In a since deleted post, Diana tagged all of her RHOBH castmates, except Garcelle. Strange, considering she was addressing Garcelle directly.
Diana wrote, “Dear Garcelle, Next time you go on national television why don’t you educate viewers on how many times I went to Haiti. Your home country.” Diana has been a well-known philanthropist for years and has received many awards for her efforts. Diana then claimed to have sent “planes full of first aid and medical supplies” to Haiti. She continued, “Why don’t you tell viewers how many millions of my dollars I have given to your country. A woman from Bosnia did that.”
The Neurobrands creator went on and chided, “Also you could have mentioned all the money i [sic] have given and everything I have done for woman [sic] rights in Congo and other 100% black communities.” Diana concluded that Garcelle is “very familiar” with “all the work I have done for human rights all around the globe.”
Fans were not happy at the social media dressing down. Said one, “Don’t try to convince people you’re a good person by broadcasting how much MONEY you’ve given or donated! To be someone of such means, it’s a shame you’ve never heard of how TACKY it is to lead with your bank book! ANY charity that’s truly given from the heart or good of others should NEVER be broadcasted!” Another added, “And you are STILL uneducated! PERIOD DOT.”
Garcelle’s comments about Diana came after Diana told a Black woman on Instagram, “It can’t feel good being a Black content creator.” Her comment was after the fan account, run by Kristen Dionne, reposted a Tweet noting how much Diana’s looks have changed over the years.
After some serious blowback, Diana was forced to apologize. She came back to the comments the next day and wrote, “I assumed ‘Black content creator’ was a title referring to a page that would be focused on snarky content. I copied the term because I thought that’s what it meant. I didn’t realize it was referencing to you as a Black woman and a content creator.”
She concluded, “Please understand i am not from this country @philly.diva so deeply sorry. I’m devastated that this was taken to mean something racially insensitive. I understand now why it was taken that way and that was never my intention. I am truly sorry.”
Diana also took another L this week after agreeing to pay $500K in penalties and restitution for alleged misrepresentations about her energy drinks.
