The fallout from Lisa Rinna’s latest social media rant continues. After the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star suggested that “triggered” fans “go watch Real Housewives of Dubai,” fans came for her. And so did the cast of RHODubai. Chanel Ayan told Rinna, “Keep Dubai out of your mess and your mouth.” Lesa Milan warned, “She does not want this heat, we’re not BH. We will drag her from right up off that doctor’s table to the desert!”
And Caroline Brooks wanted to know what Lisa meant by telling fans to go watch RHODubai after mentioning being called “racist” for fighting with Garcelle Beauvais. Garcelle is the only full time Black cast member on RHOBH. It’s also worth noting that the cast of RHODubai features multiple Black women and Women of Color.
Rinna immediately deleted the post and tried to play things off. She told the RHODubai cast to bring that same energy to their show. Which she also deleted. But Caroline decided she clearly had some more time to read Rinna. Open the library because this one is a doozy! In a screen shot captured by fan account The Real Housewives Zone, Caroline reposted Lisa’s word and proceeded to drag her.
Caroline wrote, “Listen trash box, I think you need to focus on your career and storyline because you’re not that interesting! While you’re worried about what we’re doing in Dubai, that Beverly Hills rotating door is about to push you out. Your time is almost up. You’re boring and rude.” She continued, “You wouldn’t dare try and come for [Real Housewives of] Atlanta and [Real Housewives of] Potomac because you know they would verbally annihilate you! So you choose Dubai instead.”
Caroline concluded, “Wrong move @lisarinna. Believe me when I tell you that despite what you see on our show, we are not the 1 or the 2!!! Trashy.” She also previously tweeted out, “I was told this is the third time Lisa Rinna mentioned our show in a shady/negative way. Keep your posts and aggression directed at the women on your show. Tread lightly Rinna! Your words/posts are reckless and disrespectful.” Whew! I know Lisa is regretting bringing Dubai into this mess.
A few days later, Lisa had a more conciliatory tone. She wrote a lengthy Instagram post referencing the loss of her mother, who passed 7 months ago. Her caption read in part, “Sorry if I raged on you, about you.” She didn’t name anyone (or any franchise) specifically. But she went on to say, “It really has nothing to do with any of you.” Lisa continued, “I never thought I would feel this way. I really thought grief would be about sadness and pain but it’s so much more. I am really struggling.”
But Caroline isn’t about to accept that at face value. She told E! News, “I was surprised that that’s the route she went while apologizing rather than being more direct, like, ‘I messed up.'” Caroline mused, “But it could be grieving. I’m not gonna say she’s not grieving, I have no clue. But I read the apology, it wasn’t very direct. She could have directed it at the people she offended. She made a very general statement but at least she acknowledged her wrongdoing, which is important. That shows a little bit of growth.”
Caroline noted that she “didn’t know about her mom’s passing” beforehand as RHOBH doesn’t air in Dubai. She then concluded, “I hope she’s being genuine and I hope she really means it, because she shouldn’t just go around offending people she doesn’t know. It’s not very nice, it’s mean-spirited. And we didn’t take it well at all.”
Lisa has since deleted her post.
