No matter what happens on a reality TV show, there will always be viewers questioning the authenticity of the events. When it comes to a situation as big as Scandoval, Vanderpump Rules viewers had to wonder if it was just a network ploy to bring in better ratings.
One piece of evidence that pointed to a staged Scandoval was the fact that Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval reportedly still lived together despite their grueling breakup. Given everything that went down between the two, how could they still be in such proximity?
At BravoCon 2023, Tom reported that he and Ariana were not living together anymore. However, Ariana’s come out with an update of her own that would seem to contradict Tom’s statement.
Tom wants the house, Ariana wants to sell it
On the December 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live, a fan called in to ask Ariana if she and Tom were still living together, and if Ariana was “closer to finding a new living situation.” Ariana explained she had mostly been in an Airbnb, at least “During the time that I’ve been on Dancing with the Stars and preparing for it.”
However, she also explained that she “regularly” went back and forth, and was “working on the situation with the ownership of the house. I would love for that to be resolved quickly. So, if Joe Weiner could really get back to my lawyer, that’d be great.” Joe Weiner is reportedly an entertainment disputes lawyer. He’s probably acting on Sandy’s behalf, after that name drop.
Ariana explained that since she and Tom both own the house, “Whatever happens has to be agreed upon by both owners.” Ariana explained that she wanted to sell it while Tom did not. Andy Cohen asked if Tom planned to buy out Ariana’s half, and Ariana just shrugged. Ariana further confirmed she does not speak to her ex-partner while at home.
