The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers are still talking about Kyle Richards’ weed dinner. If her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, was present at one dinner this season, I had my money on this one.
Instead, RHOBH alums Camille Grammer and Denise Richards rolled up to the party. From the jump, Denise seemed a little nervous and looked a bit disheveled. Then viewers were treated to a series of unique facial expressions and some odd comments. Denise was high on … life? She refused to partake in any THC-infused delicacies. But it looked like she had a cocktail before the party.
She went after Erika Jayne, and no one knew why. If Denise knew, she wasn’t sharing with the table. Finally, the actress and her upside-down jacket called it a night. Fans were left wondering exactly what led to Denise’s chaotic behavior.
Blame it on the alcohol
Denise explained what led to her odd behavior on Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast. “I didn’t take anything — I had a drink before I went. I was nervous seeing the women, that was it,” Denise said. She admitted to having just “half a drink” at the dinner.
However, Denise also took some “regular cold medicine” before the party. Denise did tell the other guests that she was battling a cold.
As for the THC delicacies? Denise was a hard no. “I don’t do weed, I don’t do edibles, I don’t do any of that. It doesn’t mix well with my body,” Denise stated. “I tried weed twice, for the record, and I don’t like it.” Denise had previously arranged with the producers that she wouldn’t be ingesting any cannabis.
But was Denise given someone else’s meal instead? “I’ve never been like that in my entire life. Maybe there was a mixup in the meal or the water,” she said. “Progressively during the evening, I felt worse and worse.” Denise doesn’t even remember half the night. We can call that a blessing.
“It was bizarre. All I know is when I got home, I was like ‘There’s something wrong with me,’” Denise said. The RHOBH alum hasn’t viewed the episode because she is afraid of what she might see. “I obviously made an ass out of myself, so I was like ‘Why the hell am I going to watch myself like that?’” she remarked.
Well, that is a good point. I have a feeling sooner or later Denise will view a clip and reflect on her choice of mixing alcohol and cold medicine.
