Crystal Minkoff Remains Quiet During Drama for This Reason

Since joining the show in 2021, Crystal Minkoff has been searching for her own voice. It’s been a recurring theme for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast to question why Crystal does not participate in much of the drama.

In the most recent episode of RHOBH, the topic came up again. And Crystal revealed the shocking reason why she’s been avoiding involvement.

Is she too self-conscious for a role on the Housewives?

The RHOBH star revealed why she “can’t focus” during drama

“They keep saying to me, like, you know, ‘You don’t engage. You’re not speaking up. You’re so quiet,'” Crystal told her husband, Robert Minkoff, in RHOBH Season 13, Episode 10.

The RHOBH star resents the feeling that her castmates expect her to “scream all the f**king time.” It all went down during Crystal’s Taco Tuesday party that hosted the entire cast.

“Why do I have to get to a point to, like, scream? Why can’t I speak with a soft voice and people listen?” she is seen asking Garcelle Beauvais.

“I think you have a lot of opinions, I think you have a lot of very strong opinions,” Rob advised his wife during their conversation. “I think that you just need to share that with them.”

But in her next statement, the mother of two revealed how her struggles with an eating disorder is impacting her desire to engage more with the group.

“On the other side of just being called out for that, which is just getting very annoying, is, like, the girls are all so skinny now…” she explained.

“Sometimes, I can’t focus,” Crystal told her husband. “Like, I’m comparing, looking at everyone’s bodies. Like, what does mine look like compared to theirs? That’s what I do all the time, so then I don’t know what they’re saying. It’s not like I don’t want to pay attention…”

Indeed, both Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne have transformed their bodies recently. And the change is seemingly taking a toll on Crystal.

Living in Los Angeles can’t be easy for anybody, but more so for those dealing with body image issues. It’s the epicenter of being “obsessed with beauty and bodies.”

“I work very hard to feel comfortable in groups that I’m in, and I finally started to feel more myself and relaxed, and now I’m back to having this severe distraction, which triggers me in a way that no one in this group could possibly understand. And it’s very hard for me. It’s affecting me a lot,” Crystal shared.

Fans of the show will recall that the reality TV star previously shared her struggles with an eating disorder.
