Monica Garcia May Return to RHOSLC in the Future: ‘Cooling-off Period’

Monica Garcia was exactly what Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City needed. She was loud and over-the-top, like her former boss Jen Shah. But she could also appear vulnerable, especially when dealing with her crazy family dynamics. Everything changed when Heather Gay whipped out the receipts and unmasked Monica. The newbie was part of the snark account, Reality Von Tease. And after failing to make a path forward with her co-stars at the RHOSLC reunion, Monica exited the show. For now.

Of course, the Season 4 reunion showed the cast confront Monica. For some bizarre reason, Monica seemed shocked that her co-stars were upset. We all know that Monica was a fan of the show, so she should know better. And her refusal to own her bad behavior just made her colleagues angrier.

So, while next season will be Monica-less, it sounds like she may not be permanently benched. Variety has the scoop.

The RHOSLC cast needs some space from Monica

Andy Cohen, who hosted the reunion and is an executive producer on Real Housewives, stated, “I think that if Monica had come out and was able to sway even one of the women back on to her side, then it might be a different conversation right now. But she didn’t do that.”

RHOSLC showrunner Lori Gordon and the SVP at Shed Media, Lisa Shannon, confirmed that Monica won’t be part of Season 5 of the show. “The women just need a cooling off period, and I think it’s just too soon. They’ve articulated it,” Lori explained. “It’s too soon for them to reenter into a friendship — a trusting friendship. Not enough time has passed.”

Lisa stated, “We’re starting to film relatively soon, and I think that everyone needs a minute.” Production on Season 5 is scheduled to start on February 5, 2024. But that doesn’t mean that we won’t see Monica on RHOSLC again. “Never say never,” Lori said. “You never know,” Lisa added.

Monica declined to comment via a Bravo rep.

It would be a good idea to bring Monica back at some point. Yes – she lied and deceived people. There is a long list of housewives who have done the same. But she is also responsible for creating much of the drama in Season 4 and filling up the void left by Jen.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is now streaming on Peacock.

TELL US – WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE MONICA RETURN TO RHOSLC IN THE FUTURE? DO YOU THINK THAT HER CO-STARS WILL EVER FORGIVE HER?
