Kenya Moore isn’t too happy about Kandi Burruss’ decision to leave The Real Housewives of Atlanta after 14 seasons.
After an anticlimactic past few years of RHOA, producers have searched high and low for their next wave of peach holders to step up for the beloved series. Many rumors were circulating regarding who would and wouldn’t return. However, Kandi started the round of announcements during Sunday’s Grammy Awards, adding she’s got “some nice big projects coming soon” in place of The Real Housewives.
Regarding her exit, it’s not just Andy Cohen who’s hurt; the former Miss USA is feeling blue, too. “I was very disappointed to [hear Kandi is leaving],” Kenya told New York Live. “But I feel confident that Kandi made the right decision because she’s going to be happy focusing on other things. She’s a little mini-mogul, and … Kandi will be OK.”

Although Kenya, Andy, and Bravo would’ve loved for Kandi to return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta, the show must go on, and they’ll have some big shoes to fill.
Speaking of casting, the news about a possible overhaul hints at a mixture of new and returning faces. So, what kind of women would Kenya want to work with most? “Girls who really would like to be authentic on camera,” she said. “[Nobody] desperate, or you know, just trying to be relevant for no reason.”
“That is what I think ruins the show, but I’m confident they heard the fans. I think Bravo is listening, and I think that they’ll make the right decision.”
There’s still been no official announcement from Bravo regarding the returning cast. However, Kenya said she believes they “will make an announcement pretty soon.” Hopefully, the statement will confirm the most recent rumors suggesting Kenya would return for Season 16 alongside one of her biggest foes, Porsha Williams.
