The Traitors Host Alan Cumming on Which Players Surprised Him

The gameplay on The Traitors Season 2 is top-notch from some competitors. From others … not so much. But host Alan Cumming is slaying the fashion and killing his one-liners. And I love every moment!

The Bachelor star Peter Weber set a trap for three of the contestants that he thought were Traitors. He told Dan Gheesling from Big Brother, CT Tamburello from The Challenge, and Survivor royalty Parvati Shallow that he found a shield. In reality, Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen had the shield.

So Dan urged his fellow Traitors, Parvati, and Married to Medicine star Phaedra Parks, to murder Bergie. Dan got his way, but the murder was blocked because Bergie had the shield. That was Dan’s downfall, and he was banished from the game.

Host Alan Cumming has some thoughts on the competitors

Alan was a guest on Watch What Happens Live, and host Andy Cohen quizzed him about the players. “On The Traitors, Alan has seen the evening roundtable go bananas, and has even seen Johnny “Bananas” [Devenanzio] himself but with numbers dwindling, I want to peel back my guest’s thoughts with “Leap of Faithfuls,” Andy said.

Alan had to choose among the remaining contestants for his responses. “Whose gameplay are you enjoying the most so far?” Andy asked. Alan replied, “Pilot Pete.” Peter certainly packed his A-game for Scotland.

“Who are you surprised to see has lasted as long as they have?” Andy asked Alan. “Oh, can I just have one answer?” the actor and host asked. Andy confirmed it was just one, but Alan had other ideas. “I … because I want more I think. I can’t believe Shereé [Whitfield] is still there [and] I can’t believe Kevin [ Kreider’s] there,” Alan stated. He continued, “I can’t believe John [Bercow’s] there.”

Andy responded, “Yes!” Finally, Alan said, “And I can’t actually believe MJ [Javid] is there. Or Bergie. Sweet Bergilicious,” he added.

I agree that there are certainly some contestants that I’m shook are still in the running. But that is what makes The Traitors so fun and unpredictable.

You can catch new episodes of The Traitors streaming on Peacock, Thursdays at 9/8c.
