Vanderpump Rules Season 11 is missing one of its former residents. Though I haven’t really missed him myself, some fans have noticed the absence of long-time SUR manager Peter Madrigal.
During earlier seasons, Peter was part of the group, alongside Jax Taylor, Tom Schwartz, and Tom Sandoval. But this season, he hasn’t been seen at all. Where’s Peter?
Perhaps Peter has finally grown up and left the two Toms and Jax behind in Neverland. On the Bravo & Blaze podcast this week, he revealed that the only Pump Rules cast member he still keeps in touch with is Scheana Shay. That girl is friends with everyone! As for Peter being friends with Schwartz and Sandoval? Not anymore.
Peter’s moving on from Pump Rules
According to Peter, he was asked back for Season 11, but production didn’t want to pay him. Is he supposed to work for free? That’s craziness.
“I got the phone call,” he said. “They basically said, we want you back, but we’re not gonna be able to pay you.” Production told him there was no money in the budget, though he’d received a paycheck for every season since the show’s premiere.
I always thought Peter was the hottest guy on the show until he fake-dated Rachel Leviss in Season 10. That’s when he went icky on me. At that time, we already knew that Rachel was secretly carrying on with Sandoval behind Ariana Madix’s back. Poor Peter was just a diversion to help them hide their affair.
Rachel actually called Peter a “starter pony” on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Wow. Rude, much? Rachel also chose not to return for Season 11, wisely opting to protect her mental health.
Peter admitted that Rachel reached out to him in January. “I wanted to apologize for calling you a Starter Pony,” she texted. “It wasn’t cool of me to say that. I never meant to hurt your feelings.”
After accepting her mea culpa, Peter reported they’re back on good terms. Kind of ironic that the only guy not returning to the show is the one that Rachel’s still friends with. We’ll miss you and your ponytail, Peter!
