The Real Housewives of New York Season 15 will likely come sooner than anyone realizes. But until then, fans have taken part in rampant speculation about what the next season’s cast will look like. Will all of the Season 14 newbies return, and if so, in what capacity? We may be closer to getting some answers.
Earlier this year, Brynn Whitfield confirmed that she was filming, but that was about the only news on which fans could rest assured. Comedian Matt Rogers later asked Luann de Lesseps at a live show about one rumor in particular.
Matt heard that Season 15 would bring in a few veteran Housewives – including Luann – while booting Sai De Silva and moving Ubah Hassan to a “friend of” the cast. Luann said she hadn’t even heard of these rumors. But now, there’s some new hearsay on the block.
Will RHONY’s Season 14 newbies all return alongside two fresh faces?
On March 17, Bravo commentator @queensofbravo posted a TikTok with the RHONY Season 14 taglines. Text over the clip read: “We’re hearing #RHONY is set to begin production by the end of the month.” It continued, “everybody is back, and they will be joined by TWO new housewives.”
This rumor would contradict other rumors claiming the old cast would mix with the new. Unless, of course, the “TWO new housewives” are actually Housewives from the franchise’s past. Granted, in that case, “new” probably wouldn’t be the chosen descriptor.
Taking this rumor as true, adding two new Housewives to the bunch could potentially crowd things, especially as some audiences are still getting to know the six newbies from last season. On the other hand, perhaps it only took one season for RHONY’s newbies to find their footing.
Season 14 did have a somewhat noticeable absence of friends and guests. However, that was somewhat understandable considering the focus went to characterizing the latest Bravolebrities. And if Season 14 taught fans anything, it’s that sometimes, risks do pay off.
