Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor aren’t the only ones from The Valley experiencing marital difficulties. Michelle Lally and husband Jesse announced their split just ahead of the Season 1 premiere. During Brittany’s appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, the former Vanderpump Rules star said watching their new show will help put the puzzle together.
“I think that you’ll see on The Valley why they are where they are,” she said. “I think that Michelle is so much happier now and I’m all for happiness, like we deserve to be happy, you know?”
Michelle stated in an earlier interview that a “lot happens” this season of The Valley. “We’ve been together for a long time and married, but you get to see our real struggles. You’re gonna see that we have separated.”
Brittany is putting her child’s well-being first
Fans of Brittany and Jax have seen them go through some of the worst times during their run on VPR. Now, they’re prepared to relive it during the second half of The Valley’s freshman season.
The reality star announced several weeks ago that she moved out of her shared home with Jax for her “mental health.” Plus, she wanted to focus on building a healthy household where they’re not “fighting in front of” their son, Cruz.
Although it’s been a tough journey, Brittany recently told Andy that she’s in a much better place. “I feel like I’m really strong right now. I feel like I’ve grown a lot in the past couple of years,” she said before saying she “deserves” better than what Jax has been offering.
Since moving into a rental home, Brittany has taken control of her happiness. She previously said she’s “proud of myself for doing what’s right for my mental health and for my family.”
Regarding a divorce, Brittany said she isn’t there yet. However, it’s not off the table. You go back and forth. It’s so hard when you have a kid, so it’s like a lot of ups and downs. Some days, I’m like, ‘Never coming back,’ and then other times, I’m like, ‘We’ll see what happens.’ So it’s all up in that air right now.”
