So, according to this Real Housewives alum, Andy unleashed a “coordinated attack” against her in the media. Then, several stars allegedly joined in to help see his plan through, which Leah is now calling out.
Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit heats up, with Andy Cohen in the crosshairs
Much to the likely chagrin of the network, the courts have given Leah the green light to proceed with her lawsuit. In case you have forgotten what this entire legal narrative is about, let us help refresh your memory. In 2024, Leah stated that the producers of Real Housewives of New York created a hostile work environment for her. Allegedly, they also weaponized her addiction struggles for heightened storylines, so Leah sued as the network moved for dismissal, only to get denied, and now, Leah persists, adding a new messy claim to her suit.
Page Six recently reported on her new filing, which alleges that Andy manipulated his powers to “direct or induce” other Bravo stars to rise. Once risen, they needed to “claim that McSweeney is a liar” in the press. This move reportedly came as a “direct response” to her lawsuit, which Andy was not a fan of. So, according to her filing, Andy “either directly requested or induced current and former Real Housewives cast members” to “publicly disparage McSweeney’s character, and propensity for truthfulness, to curry favor with Cohen in the hopes that such favor would propel their entertainment careers.”
Leah next calls out over 20 Bravo stars by name. These names include Luann de Lesseps, Kyle Richards, Melissa Gorga, Kandi Burruss, Lisa Vanderpump, Heather Dubrow, and Dorinda Medley. Her suit claims that these stars “would not have made [their] statement[s] but for Cohen’s direction and/or inducement.”
