At this point, it feels as if The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on hold forever. Season 14 of RHONJ finished a messy run in August 2024. Of course, the cast was divided, being torn between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice. And with the two ladies refusing to film together, the path forward looked impossible.
During the summer of 2025, Andy Cohen gave an update about the fate of RHONJ. “We are doing casting in Jersey,” he stated. “It was really on a deep pause, and we are actively there, casting and looking at the future of what that will be.”

Meanwhile, rumors swirled that test filming had begun for Season 15 of the show, only without “OG” Teresa. A source claimed, “Her fans can say whatever they want, but Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, and Dolores Catania filmed with new women.”
Welp, reportedly, the test filming didn’t go well. “Previous producers have been having a hard time finding the right cast and fit. They didn’t like the newcomers who were test filming last year in August,” a source told US Weekly. Now, a third-party group is in charge of interviewing potential cast members and casting the show.
The insider continued, “They are going full speed ahead with casting over the next month and a half. The current cast could have answers if they’re coming back to the show in the next couple of months.” The source added, “Producers could recast the whole show.”
It seems that the new team is casting a wide net, reportedly looking to add some diversity to the cast. One Season 14 cast member who won’t be back in the mix is Jennifer Aydin. She announced her exit ahead of the launch of her new podcast. Let’s hope that RHONJ viewers hear some casting news soon.
