Katie Maloney held her own on Vanderpump Rules. However, when the OG version of VPR wrapped, Katie stepped into a new, private era, far away from the cameras and the noise. Yet, the drama still managed to find Katie, as Kristen Doute just revealed. Apparently, Katie was actually present for one rather sparkly scene on The Valley, but even still, her face, likely due to her own lack of consent, remained off air.

Katie is to emo music like Brittany Cartwright is to beer cheese. They go hand in hand. So, when Katie met Nick Martin, the guitarist from Sleeping with Sirens, they quickly forged a friendship. Several beats later, they started dating.
Roughly a year and a half later, these two are still going strong. So, what does that have to do with The Valley? Well, as Kristen just revealed on the After Show, during filming for Season 3, Brittany went on a date with Brandon Hanson. And as luck would have it, Katie and Nick were also on a date at their chosen restaurant.
That said, Katie and Nick enjoyed a much easier meal. Over at Brittany’s table, Brandon publicly asked her to be his girlfriend. Doing the most, Brandon used a prop for his big ask, which was a sparkler-covered dessert. Everyone on the After Show agreed that it “was way too much.”
“Brittany was like, ‘Are you f*cking kidding me right now?’” Kristen said. “Now, not only is this way too much, you know, she knows people at this restaurant.” Nia Sanchez agreed. “And he’s making such a spectacle,” Nia added.
This episode actually just aired. As fans saw, Brittany caved. She downed a shot and said, “Let’s do it.”
Not shockingly, Brandon and Brittany have since parted ways. But man. If only we could have gotten a talking head of Katie’s thoughts, since she randomly happened to be a fly on the wall during this incredibly awkward scene.
