The Dorit Kemsley that we met in Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is not the same woman that we just saw in Season 15, and no, that’s not a dig about plastic surgery. Dorit has changed, and if anything, her divorce from PK Kemsley has accelerated that evolution.
While personal growth is important in a Housewife, not everyone is on board with this new Dorit. Her former castmate, Camille Grammer, thinks she’s changed for the worse and has turned into a “monster.”
Camille Grammer called out the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star
Camille recently sat down with Cynthia Bailey and Crystal Kung Minkoff on their Humble Brag podcast. Of course, they had to talk about the latest headlines from RHOBH, and at one point, they talked about who from the cast has changed the most over the years. That’s when Camille decided to call out her old frenemy Dorit.
“I think Dorit has changed a lot since the first season,” Camille said. “She was super sweet. She probably felt like she was getting in over her head.”
Camille said that both Dorit and PK were “nice” when they first joined the show. She described Dorit as “sweet and wanting everybody’s acceptance and being a fish out of water.” However, she theorized that the pressures of the show, along with her bitter divorce, have caused her to “unravel” and “turn into a monster.”
It’s a big claim, and Crystal agreed that Dorit had changed the most. However, she felt like maybe the word “monster” felt too extreme.
“I generally don’t think she’s a monster,” Crystal said. “I don’t.”
“Well, that’s nice, I’ve had the Dorit monster come for me,” Camille replied. “I’ve seen the nice, sweet Dorit. I’ve experienced that too.”
With all that said, Camille did have some empathy for the fact that Dorit is navigating a messy divorce. She knows from firsthand experience just how stressful that can be, and it’s pretty obvious how it played a role in her Season 15 behavior. Still, Camille thinks this change has been a long time coming.
“I think that she’s imploding her life, and I try to be neutral about it,” Crystal conceded.
Camille replied, “I agree with you in a sense that she’s a mom. I feel bad for anybody going through such a difficult time. I do have sympathy.”
She continued, “Years ago, I just saw her change. Her head blew up. She bought into the hype.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
