Is there a double standard among the Bravo casts? According to Dolores Catania, there might be. She’s been filling in on Two Ts in a Pod, and during a recent episode, she called out The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast. She thinks they’ve been getting away with things that they never could on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, or any other show, for that matter.
Dolores thinks the RHOBH cast hides too much of their real lives
On the December 19 episode of Two Ts in a Pod, Dolores joined Tamra Judge to chat about the latest RHOBH episode. In case you missed it, Kyle Richards continued to dance around the fact that she was in an off-camera relationship. According to her, it ended because of the pressure of putting it on reality TV.
Meanwhile, Erika Jayne also seems to be keeping her dating life off the show. Dolores felt like this was all an example of a double standard on RHOBH. She said, “No one gets away with what Beverly Hills gets away with, with not talking about their life.”
Tamra replied, “I think that Kyle’s hands are tied, like she wants to talk about it, but the other person doesn’t want to be mentioned.”
Still, Dolores thought it was an example of a pattern. She argued that it’s not okay in “everyone else’s word.” In some instances, Dolores said this kind of behavior would lead to threats from production.
“A lot of other people’s other people don’t want to be involved,” Dolores said. “I can name some boyfriends who don’t want to be involved, yet people are told, ‘Then we have to rethink your status.’’’
We really wish Dolores had just named ‘em, but she didn’t go that far. You’ll have to leave that up to your imagination. Still, her comments validated what some RHOBH fans have long pointed out about this group. Maybe it’s just a different world?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns to Bravo on January 8 at 8/7c. It’s also streaming on Peacock.
