RHOBH Alum Garcelle Beauvais Breaks Silence After Los Angeles Home Swatting Incident

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Garcelle Beauvais had a terrifying experience last weekend. She was home alone when the police suddenly showed up on her doorstep in a “swatting” incident.

On Sunday, January 25, a man who claimed he was Garcelle’s ex-boyfriend called 911. Furthermore, he said he had a sawed-off shotgun and had already fired shots.

Thankfully, the incident was a hoax, but it was still very frightening for Garcelle. When the police arrived, there was no man with a gun and no evidence of a crime taking place.

Garcelle Beauvais is happy her family weren’t home at the time of the incident

Though she’s still recovering, Garcelle is thankful she was home alone at the time. It would have been so much worse had her family been in the house. Her 18-year-old twin sons, Jax and Jaid, still live with their mom.

Just two days after the incident, TMZ caught up with the actress as she was promoting her new project, Tempted 2 Love. “First, before we talk about the movie, I do want to … make sure you’re okay,” the reporter said.

“Thank you,” the former Real Housewife responded, one of her sons at her side. “It was really scary … You just can’t imagine.”

“It’s a horrible thing to have to go through,” she added. “And the fact that someone can do that to you just by making a phone call! I’m just grateful that my family wasn’t there, and I was the only one home.”

Thank goodness it was just someone’s sick idea of a joke and no one was hurt. Hopefully, Garcelle and her family will be able to move on and feel safe in their home again.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
