The divorce between Real Housewives of Atlanta alums Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker has taken a turn. Kandi filed for divorce in 2025, and fans hoped for an amicable split. However, the divorce battle between Kandi and Todd has become heated.
In Kandi’s divorce documents, she requested joint custody of their two children, Ace and Blaze. In addition, Kandi also wanted the prenup to be upheld. However, Todd asked for primary custody of their children and questioned the validity of the prenuptial agreement. Fans saw this prenup situation unfold in real time in Kandi’s wedding spin-off.
Todd Tucker claims Kandi Burruss kicked him out without notice
Recently, Kandi filed new court documents revealing that Todd is living in the guest house. According to Kandi, Todd allegedly hasn’t paid a dime for any upkeep or bills associated with the home. Plus, Kandi stated that Todd hasn’t paid any child support. She hired a nanny, shooting down Todd’s claims that he is a present and engaged father.
TMZ reported that Todd fired back in legal documents. Todd admitted to living in the guest house, but claimed it was because his ex “unilaterally removed” him from the main house. In addition, he accused Kandi of instructing her family to move his belongings without his permission. Yikes!
Meanwhile, Todd said that before they separated, they both put money into an account. These funds were to be used for expenses. However, in the legal documents, Todd claimed that Kandi told him after the separation that she would pay all the bills and would not use that account.
“[Kandi] now attempts to reframe and weaponize this self-created financial arrangement as evidence of financial instability or neglect, while the timing and sequence of events demonstrate otherwise,” Todd stated in the court papers. Plus, Todd accused Kandi of making negative comments about him in order to change the narrative from her “ongoing physical absence from the kids” and her “reliance on a third-party caregiver.” He requested temporary physical and legal custody of the children until a parenting agreement is reached.
