Pray for Cynthia and her cheekbones because this cast trip to Dallas has left the Real Housewives of Atlanta icon running on nothing but fumes. It all started when Shamea and lodged their questionable complaints about their rooming situation. Pinky has also been on her absolute worst behavior, and in last week’s episode, Porsha accused Kelli of wanting to scissor her.
For the most part, Cynthia has managed to keep things under control, but in The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 7, “Dynasty, Diamonds, and Drama,” K. Michelle brought some drama to the table that might be well above Cynthia’s pay grade.
What happened on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 7?
Cynthia’s doomed-from-the-start Dallas trip came to a close with a Dynasty-themed gala that almost got rained out in more ways than one. Before the gala, K. Michelle had a full-blown meltdown over a conspiracy theory that some of the women were scheming against her. The only question after this supersized episode: Is there actually a plot to take down K. Michelle, or are we witnessing a serious case of paranoia?
Kelli and Porsha agreed to disagree
When we last left off, Porsha and Kelli were clashing over accusations about sleeping with married men. Kelli clapped back and brought up R. Kelly, Chili Cheese Fritos, and a bunch of other things that set us back as a nation. It was a lot, and Episode 7 picked up right in the middle of the mess.
Porsha added a little bit more color to the scissoring allegation. Allegedly, it happened after Season 16’s Grenada trip when Kelli got a glimpse of Porsha in her birthday suit. Porsha said Kelli was mesmerized by what she saw and tried to pursue her that night.
Kelli denied all of it and said that she isn’t even attracted to women. The jury is still out on who is telling the truth, but for now, these two had to agree to disagree.
Miraculously, this argument didn’t derail their dinner plans. The ladies got to talking about sex toys, and suddenly, everyone stopped thinking about the vagina that may or may not share qualities with a hot corn chip. However, someone else’s vagina was about to become a very central topic.
The vibes were off at dinner
After the chaotic bus ride, the peaches arrived at the restaurant, and immediately, Pinky ran off to the bathroom and puked. Cynthia’s Tequila Comisario did its job and got Pinky so wasted that she had to spend the entire dinner in the bathroom drinking ginger ale. We haven’t seen someone this wasted on RHOA since Shamari DeVoe, so we salute this woman’s hard-working liver.
It turns out, Pinky might have had the best seat in the house because the vibes were so incredibly off at the dinner table that you’d almost lose your appetite just from watching them.
K. Michelle was sitting there, visibly uncomfortable, and told the ladies that she didn’t feel “safe” in the group. Seeing how ladies like Kelli and Porsha coalesce between dragging each other to hell and peacefully coexisting felt difficult for her to wrap her head around.
With all of that on the table, Drew decided to chime in. She asked the former Love & Hip Hop star if there was something in particular that was bothering her, and this is where things started to get weird for K. Michelle this week.
“I’ve been very standoffish with you because you keep saying, ‘Oh, she know my friend Blakk,’” K explained. “I really don’t really don’t know the man.”
Blindsided by this information, Drew replied, “Huh?”
Oysters and accusations
K’s accusations about Blakk left Drew completely dumbfounded, and things got even more confusing when a plate of oysters came to the table. Those oysters unknowingly sacrificed their lives to become a central part of a Real Housewives of Atlanta plot.
When the oysters arrived, Porsha said she wanted to “check” them to make sure they were clean. She whipped out a butter knife and poked around the oysters before declaring them safe to eat.
She said, “That vagina’s clean!”
The ladies laughed, moved on, and thought nothing of it. K. Michelle, on the other hand, was not laughing. She took the oyster inspection as a personal dig, and if you found yourself confused by what happened next, you’re not alone, but we’ve got you covered.
Years ago, the rapper Maino claimed that he’d slept with K. Michelle and made some very specific and unflattering comments about the status of her vagina. She even threatened to sue him for defamation, and when the oyster inspection happened at dinner, she quietly thought they were making a joke at her expense.
The next morning, K showed up at breakfast in tears but refused to explain why. Instead, she vaguely announced that she had information that someone in the group was plotting against her, all without naming names, providing receipts, or giving anyone anything to actually work with.
Is someone on the RHOA cast plotting against K. Michelle?
On Day 3, the ladies were supposed to be getting ready for Cynthia’s Tequila Comisario gala. Instead, K. Michelle ran around the house, crying, sobbing, and hyperventilating over this unnamed person that was plotting against her. Privately, she explained that she heard that Drew, Phaedra, and Porsha were planning on embarrassing her by bringing up the years-old accusations about her vagina. It’s an extremely sensitive subject for her, and she felt like the oyster inspection confirmed every fear that she had.
Eventually K confided in Pinky, Kelli, and Shamea about the alleged plot, but she refused to bring any of it to the larger group. That didn’t do her in favors.
With K refusing to explain her conspiracy theory, Porsha, Phaedra, Cynthia, Angela, and Drew all were left trying to fill in the blanks on their own. They wound up putting Shamea at the top of the suspect list, theorizing that she had been feeding information to K. Michelle.
Ultimately, the truth is really difficult to pin down here. On the surface, it really looks like K Michelle experienced a fit of paranoia. Were some of the ladies really trying to sabotage her, or was it her inner saboteur talking? Maybe both?
Drew and K clashed over Blakk
Whether or not anyone is plotting on K. Michelle remains unclear. What we do know for sure is that her allegations drove an even bigger wedge into an already divided group.
Sensing that the rest of the women were about to implicate her in all of this, Shamea called a house meeting to get ahead of it. Someone had to do it, and it clearly wasn’t going to be K. Michelle.
Most of the ladies gathered at this house meeting without wigs, and in Shamea’s case, without clothes, to try to sort out where things went wrong. K wound up clearing Shamea of any wrongdoing, all while adding even more mystery to the whodunnit playing out in her head.
“They can act as stupid as they want to be, and that’s all good,” K warned her unnamed enemy. “Cuz just know that I know.”
She then pivoted back to her other favorite conspiracy theory: that Drew had been going around telling everyone about her alleged connection to Blakk.
Drew already explained the night before that this wasn’t the case, so at this point, she wasn’t ready to hear any more of it. K started getting loud, but Drew stood on business—literally. She got out of her seat, and K. Michelle tried to do the same.
The argument raged on, Porsha had to physically hold back K. Michelle, and for a brief moment, we started teetering into Love & Hip Hop territory. All of this smoke over Blakk, of all people.
Cynthia’s gala got rained out
Cynthia brought the ladies to Texas for a Dynasty-themed gala to celebrate Tequila Comisario, and instead got a weekend of pool house complaints, conspiracy theories, and vaginal concerns. Then, as if the universe just wanted to twist the knife even further, her gala literally got blown away by a hurricane. Her event planner called in hysterics to break the news as the ladies were en route.
At this point, nothing could faze Cynthia. She survived a year’s worth of drama packed into a three-day trip, so what’s a little weather? This gala was still going to happen, one way or another.
Through tears, her event planner moved the gala inside, and everyone showed up lookking as glamorous as ever in their soap opera-inspired ball gowns and sky-high hair. Drew was several hours late to the gala, but she still showed up. It’s the thought that counts!
At the gala, Cynthia hosted a beauty pageant for the title of Tequila Queen. She ordered a little crown off Amazon to really make things official for the best-dressed Dynasty look, but in the end, 50 Cynt went ahead and gave that crown to herself. Well deserved.
After what that woman endured on this trip, she deserved a crown, a peach, a parade, and a very long vacation without any of these women.
