Dorit Kemsley says PK let someone else break the news of their separation
On a recent episode of the LadyGang podcast, Dorit touched on the moment that changed everything in her marriage. In this moment, she realized that her husband of ten years was leaving her. “He was four months sober,” she explained, and as she noted, PK felt “really committed” to that process.
Due to his commitment, “He had a sponsor, because it was a journey of sobriety, and he had a sober coach, if you will. You go through steps,” she said, adding, “I mean, there are all kinds of things that anyone who’s been through sobriety knows, and he was working on those things with him.”
But one day, Dorit sat with PK and his coach in their backyard cabana. Here, his sober coach reportedly said, “‘Listen, I think you guys should maybe take some time apart and separate.’ And I remember immediately looking at PK, expecting him to be like, ‘Hey,’ something. And he was just absolutely dead silent… looking off to the side,” Dorit accused.
Exasperated, Dorit restated her claim, noting that “He put it off on someone else to deliver the information to me. And he was dead silent the whole time. Just looked off into the gates and let this sober coach essentially let me know that we’re separating.” And as she ended, this delivery was “almost harder than the actual news itself.”
