Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd shared her reaction to the charges against her. Of course, it was in the most Kelly way possible. Her husband, Rick Leventhal, was along for the ride as the duo discussed the alleged revenge porn charges.
The former Bravoleb is facing possible jail time
The RHOC alum, who was a villain during her time on the franchise, was well-known for her obnoxious remarks during COVID and allegedly mocking the Black Lives Matter movement with a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat. In addition, a leaked voice message from 2025 reportedly revealed Kelly screaming at her daughter, Jolie Dodd, calling her a “fool.”
Now, Kelly is facing three misdemeanor charges and possible time behind bars. A Jane Doe accuser alleged that Kelly “unlawfully and intentionally” shared sexually explicit images of her around August 2025. According to legal documents, this caused the accuser “severe emotional distress.” Kelly also allegedly called the victim, threatening injury to her, her family, and her property. As if that wasn’t enough, Kelly was slapped with a separate battery charge. This charge dated back to June 2025.
In an Instagram video, Kelly and Rick reacted to the allegations. According to Kelly, a reporter reached out to her. I was like, “’What the actual eff is going on here?’” Kelly stated. “It’s hilarious to me, by the way.”
Then, Rick weighed in. “We can’t tell you much right now because Kelly hasn’t gone to court yet,” he explained. “We can confirm that Kelly is going to court.” He added that TMZ “got most of the facts wrong” in their reporting.
“I need some uplifting right now because this is so insane,” Kelly said as Rick poured them some tequila. “I know it’s somebody in my family that is putting this stuff out there. And you know who it is.”
Meanwhile, Kelly captioned the Instagram post, “It’s been an insane experience and I can’t wait to share the true story … hear it all when you join the Rick & Kelly Show on Patreon.com.”
